Default Chukwurah will make a decision by Monday

Roy Cummings, of the Tampa Tribune, reports free agent LB Patrick Chukwurah (Broncos) will make a decision on returning to the Denver Broncos or signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Monday, April 3.

I like the Predator if for no reason than the nickname. He signs, it gives depth and we can concentrate on other areas. He can play all spots including RDE and had 4.55 speed at the combine, and he's a vet. I think he's vastly underrated. I think he will listen to Grudens final bid then give us a call.

Problem is that I'm sure he wants a chance to start, and as it is, it won't happen here without injury. If Gruden gives him starter money, he's gone.

What has he EVER done to make you think he is vastly underrated

If anything he is vastly overrated by almost every Bronco fan.

Your entitled to your opinion. He wasn't on the field alot either. The point is he's versitile. He could be a band aid at 4 positions.

I noticed him on the field......and I noticed him on the field doing absolutly nothing.

I noticed he was a one dimessional football player and all the tackles had to do was drive him to the outside as he ran upfield.

Maybe he'll be good but I won't lose anysleep over this guy.

Over these last few years I tend to agree, I was a fan of Chukwurah.

He came out of the University of Wyoming so I got to see him play some and thought he might be able to do something in the NFL.

The only thing I have seen him do is look really good in pre-season games. He looks like he could be a good pass-rusher. But when he goes up against the starters in the real games he pretty much disappears.

I don’t believe he brings much to the team other than special teams and a occasional DE pass-rusher. Better the Buccaneers pay him the big bucks than the Broncos.

Didn't he learn anything from Ian Gold or Keith Burns or John Lynch or Brian Griese or...? If he thinks he'll do better there than here more power to him but I think he would be better off in Denver for the long run.

He'll not get anything more than a minimum contract from either club with a 25k or 40k signing bonus.

Yeah what the hell is with Tampa and renting our players for a year.

It's almost like a swap meet. They got Keith Burns off us one year with promises to start (he didn't), only for Keith to come back to Denver after a year. Then it was Gold (for a year). And now it's Chuckawacker. We gave them Brian Griese, but thank God he didn't come back.

On the other hand we got Lynch off them and he's been to two probowls.

It's like a pimp paying you to sleep with one of his girls and he's the one who ends up getting herpes (Griese)!

When did I say give him starting money? I just like his nickname. He was invisible because we went 4-2-5 in passing situations and even D.J. Williams was on the pine in the nickle. Again, I'm saying he brings depth and can play 4 positions, good size and very good speed. That, and there is a glaring hole at RDE.

Chucky is an exellent ST guy. Id hate to lose him, but on our team, he will not start. If he is promised an opportunity to start, i can see him going there.

Always great to cheer for the underdog, but Preditor in reality is near the bottom of the list on the 53 man roster and would have trouble making the team with any competition.

They are just paying us back for sending the Raiders playbook before the Superbowl.

Predator probably realizes the Broncos HAVE to bring in an LB during the draft. The need more effective plays and the Broncos could easily pick up someone in the later rounds.

Chukwurah's services would be better utlized in a 3-4.

I'm pretty sure Gruden probably had that in his back pocket already.

That's what I say. He looks like he could be great, He has a great football body and he is quick, but the man has one move and that is speed and straight up the field. That will never work in the NFL if you don';t get great at other moves.
