Maroth got freaking destroyed today. Six ER and three bombs before they rescued him after 1/3 of an inning.

Tomorrow...it's Felix vs. Francisco. Two of the game's best young phenoms going head-to-head.

I'm really, really hoping that Felix pulls his head out of his ass and puts up a competent line.

Rangers just came back from 7-0 down to win 8-7 on a walkoff homer.

BOOYAH!

Ian Kinsler knocked two taters tonight, too, fresh off the DL.

Tex is pissing me off big time. Nice to know he can still clear the wall.

I'm trading first place back and forth with this guy in one of my leagues.

A couple weeks ago I traded him rehabbing Coco Crisp for megaslumping Richie Sexson. Risky deal, but if they both return to form, I'll win this trade.

The cold reality of starting Jason Morneau at 1B smacked him in the face and he tried to pry away Lance Berkman for Alex Rios. I rejected that deal and countered with (1B eligible) Nick Swisher straight up for Rios. He rejected it, but now he just offered me the same trade, which I accepted in a New York minute.

I like competing against a guy who isn't afraid to trade with his strongest competition. I love competing against people who offer me value for value in trades instead of the **** for value offers I reject every day.

Hmmmm...that is megarisky. Sexson has little to no protection behind him at the moment, and he already struggles against breaking pitches. I'm keeping him on my roster too though...he's starting to make solid contact.

I hope you picked up JJ Putz...he's easily one of the most dominant closers in the game now. I think he's got a 36/6 ratio going right now in just over 20 innings. Nice...

Nah, like a peckerhead, I bought strong on Soriano and didn't reverse field until it was too late.

I have it under control on most teams. The one league where I'm hurting, I'm limping along with Tyler Walker until Gagne comes back.

*shudders*

There's some pitchers that I expect my team to shell when they come in...and he's one of them. So is Bob Wickman, despite his decent numbers. Heh...

I'm loving it... My buddies talked me into fantasy baseball for the first time ever... I did my homework, drafted smart, and have held the lead ever since. I absolutely love Fantasy Baseball...

Check out my team...

C - J. Willingham
1B - Nick Swisher (1B, OF)
2B - Chase Utley (1B, 2B)
SS - Jose Reyes
3B - Morgan Ensberg
Util - F. Lopez (2B, SS)
OF - J. Bay
OF - B. Abreu
OF - A. Jones

Bench - C. Figgins (2B, 3B, OF)
Bench - E. Chavez (3B)
Bench - K. Johjima (C)

DL - H. Matsui (I know I know... No reason to drop him yet. My team has been healthy)

Here's my pitching staff:

SP - J. Bonderman
SP - J. Beckett
SP - A. Harang
RP - J. Papelbon
RP - J. Nathan
P - A. Otsuka
P - D. Weathers

Bench - J. Lackey (SP)
Bench - R. Clemens (SP)

I had Derrick Lee, but once he got injured and Nick Swisher proved he could hold down the fort, I packaged him and Brad Penny to bring in the Rocket and Chone Figgins. Any thoughts on that trade? It's my first year, so I kind of wonder if I did the right thing there... But I feel good about what Nick's been doing for my team, and I'd really like to get an ace like Roger on the staff...

The etc.. doesn't include Clement. He is miserable. If Boomer can't come back the Arroyo deal looks worse and worse. The pressure moves to Abe Alvarez to perform in the Bigs.

I was more talking about tacos team. But i still like the arroyo deal. How often do you get to trade an above average starte(thats what he is) for your future right fielder. Ill take pena everyday especially with lester, alvarez, hansen and delcarmen waiting in the wings.

The deal looks good for 2007 and 2008 because thats when those young arms are ready to roll. For the 2006 season talk to me in August/September if we are Beckett, Schilling Wake and then praying for a rain out. Would you agree we should have tried to unload Clement ? We couldn't because they signed him to that big contract where they screwed Arroyo when he took the hometown discount (when he could have got Millions more)just to stay in Boston and they used his reasonable contract against him. Pena can hit but how about that throw last night and that stumbling catch ?

You should be starting Chone...unless you dont need any SB's...

Clemens supposedly has narrowed it down to Boston or Houston...I think a decision will come soon... and he'll return after the All-Star break...

What's with the 3 SB's? Does Leyland not like to run much?

I hope Texas is still in the running.

And I believe he was just using Boston and NY for leverage.
