He doesn't even move fast enough to lose his cap.

His cap is stretched so tight over his bulbous melon that they probably have to pry it off with a butterknife.

My Tigers are off to a nice start at 11-7.

Jim Leyland was a great choice for manager. He grew up in a little town about 10 miles from where I live.

I tell you what....rookie pitcher Joel Zumaya has some flat out nasty wicked stuff.

The M's have the worst offense that the world has ever known. Ichiro isn't trying anymore, Lopez is in the wrong spot, Sexson is a k machine, Everett is a no. 6/7 hitter, Beltre is absolutely lost right now, Reed is underachieving. OMG!?!?!? If not for Rafael Soriano, Daisuke Matsuzaka in the offseason, Adam Jones, Shin Soo Choo, Jeff Clement, and Bobby Livingston I don't know what I'd have to look forward to.

Meche is an absolute DUMP. I can't believe your lineup didn't shell his ass into the Pacific. That may have been the luckiest performance I've seen in a while.

Ughhhhh!!!

Zumaya scares hitters ****less. They are scared to death of that heater, and then he drops that breaking ball and their knees buckle like a rubber hose. Lopez is one of the best fastball hitters out there, but that breaking ball is unhittable.

Rangers had a 5-2 lead tonight before Cordero blew the save with a 3-run jack.

Fortunately, Michael Young dribbled a single up the middle to plate the winning run in the bottom of the 9th.

So much for the Indians great April, freaking lose two out of three to the Royals, the worst team in baseball.

Now 10-9. Very frustrating and frankly, embarrassing.........

I wish the Mariners would give Jesse Foppert a call. He looks like he is finally recovered from Tommy John surgery and has the upside to be a solid #2 next to Felix for a long time.

The Helton-less Rockies defeat San Francisco in another entertaining, low scoring game at Coors Field.

This Rockies bullpen is shaping up to be the best one they've had since the incredible 1995 pen. Maybe hitters are flat out scared at looking at these handsome fellows:

Brian Fuentes

Jose Mesa

Ray King

David Cortes

I'd like to see Colorado go out and trade for Antonio Alfonseca, not only to add to the uglyness, but the freak show factor as well.

Jose Mesa is not only scary looking, he easily has the ugliest fielding glove in baseball. That purple glove, damn!

Foppert is struggling big time in AAA right now. His velocity is hovering around 86-89 mph, and he's been plagued by wildness. He seems to be a shell of his former self right now...

You're right the wildness is there, but the strikeouts are still healthy. I still like his long-term outlook, though.

Cool, cuz Seattle may only have 2/5 of their rotation returning next year.

When are they going to promote Soriano to closer?

Pretty damn soon IMO. Guardado is DONE. He's lost 3 mph off his already below average fastball, and his two other pitches were bad in the first place. I'd say a few more blown saves will be the push over. I can't imagine that the M's FO is comfortable sending Eddie out there with a one run lead...

Hargrove recently gave some typical coach speak bull**** on the matter, saying "Eddie's our closer." Well, if he values job security, he'd better make the change fast...

But, there's some debate as to which RH'er (Soriano, Putz) will get the closer role. Both have great k rates, and both have been nearly unhittable so far this year. Putz's got a new splitter that he just busted out, so that one dominant out pitch may make him the closer by default. Soriano's fastball is explosive, but his slider is average and his change is below average. They may like Raffy in high-leverage situations anyways.

I've already got him on my roster, just in case...

I was really upset that Leyland went to Detroit instead of getting the PBurgh job.

Oh well, the season is already lost for the Pirates anyways.

I'll be pulling for the Atlanta Braves again this year.
They are unable to get back to the World Series.
