Dolphins | Williams' appeal set for April 10
Tue, 28 Mar 2006 10:47:42 -0800 Alex Marvez, of the Sun-Sentinel, reports Miami Dolphins RB Ricky Williams will have his appeal heard April 10 at the league's offices in New York City. Williams will miss the 2006 season if his appeal fails, as this was the fourth drug test he has failed. He tested positive for marijuana the three previous drug tests, but is unknown what substance caused him to fail the fourth test. Hmmmmm. ![]() |

It doesn't matter. He will fail another test before the season starts if he wins his appeal.

Just curious. When's the last time anyone won a drug suspension appeal in the NFL?

Let's say he wins his appeal...still one failed drug test away from a year's vacation.

wait, for him to have failed, doesn't the substance have to be on the banned list? How do they not know what the substance is?

I'd love to see Ricky Williams in a Bronco uniform but I'm a little conflicted because I also want to see Ron Dayne have his chance to start.

Not sure if the fish or RW34 would want to deal with Denver anymore. THe leak came from the Denver camp.

There are no "somethings" that you can take just because you give the league advance notice unless you have a medical condition that requires taking a drug on the banned list that is physician prescribed. |

He does have a medical condition Beerslug. It's why he wears a dark visor at times. The medical term for it is the "munchies" I think. ![]() |

I find it hard to believe he'll just turn a new leaf in one offseason and not smoke it instead! At least we'll have a new bang cartoon and 50 page thread to look forward to when his apeal is heard! |

People are ASSuming he smoked it this time around. The guy is into holistics right now. People in holistics take herbs to aid the elimination of toxins in their bodies. Many of those herbs are tested for because they happen to work well at eliminating THC from the system. One of those herbs is something called Golden Seal, which people in holistic medicine swear by as a way to keep your system flushed of all types of toxins and keeps your energy levels high. Ricky could be completely clean, and has just been drinking herbal teas that contain Goldenseal in it, and he's going to get flagged for a masking agent. If Ricky turned over a new leaf, it didn't happen this offseason... It happened in the year that he was out of football. Last edited by Taco John; 03-29-2006 at 10:29 AM.. |
