Denver to play Chiefs on Thanksgiving Day
Broncos to play on turkey day
By Bill Williamson
Denver Post Staff Writer
Orlando, Fla. - The Broncos will play a Thanksgiving Day game for the second consecutive season.
The NFL announced today, at the owners meetings, that the Broncos will play at AFC West rival Kansas City in a Thanksgiving Day game that will be broadcast on the NFL Network. It will be the first game on the network.
The game starts at 6 p.m. MST on Nov. 23. Denver won at Dallas 24-21 in overtime last Thanksgiving. Coach Mike Shanahan has said he enjoys playing on the
holiday because it gives his team a longer break going into the critical month of December.
Denver was a candidate to open the season at Pittsburgh on Thursday, Sept. 7, but the Steelers' opponent will be Miami.

I don't like it. THat gives the Chefs a major advantage getting to play the Broncos on a short week and Denver having to travel to K.C.
