Default Lenny Walls to the Chefs?

Quote:
The Chiefs are negotiating a contract with cornerback Lenny Walls, once a starter for the Broncos. Chiefs secondary coach David Gibbs is well-acquainted with Walls, having coached him in Denver.
His price is a little high right now,” Peterson said. “But he told us he wanted to play for us because of David Gibbs.”
Edwards and Walls fit the pattern of the type of free agent the Chiefs have looked for this year. Most are young, haven’t been full-time starters and could be had for relatively low prices.

He cut his arm off to keep from playing for Oakland to fail a physical. See, KC needs one armed twice cut corners.

I like Lenny alot. He just needs to avoid those injuries. He hit a rough patch on the field and lost a little confidence but he's a really good corner. Doesnt get picks but he is consistent. I would not want him to stay in the division.

He's a good player.

You must have seen a different Walls than the one I watched with the Broncos. Dude couldn't cover worth a crap. He belongs in KC, I hope they sign him.

SoCal has always been slow to cut line, I blame him for losing the Hunt Trophy game. He's never drafted well...

He's worth a good laugh...

Lets see... Bell, Surtain, Knight. Lenny seems to fit right in!!

Overpaying for mediocre talent is all part of the "KC master plan" to building a _efense. This sounds like a match made in heaven.

One of the best highlights of the previous season was Plummer corkscrewing Bell into the turf at Mile Hi as the trots in for an ez 6. Lenny belongs in KC!!!

If they, or the Raiders get Walls, let's have Watts suit up. I remember at training camp, Watts putting a move on Lenny, that broke his ankle. Let's hope Watts can refind that move, and hold on to the pass.

This explains why your evaluation of Lienart is so off...

Lenny played at a very high level in 2003. Injuries hit him pretty hard in 04. He's a good player, but he hit some rough patches.

Kind of like how yours is in regards to Julius Jones and how we should've taken him over Tatum Bell? Just messing Taco.

Walls isn't a complete bum, but it was pretty obvious that he was the 4th best corner on the roster last season.

If you mean that sucking was a rough patch, then you would be correct. Lenny Walls wasn't a good player. He couldn't tackle, and would take plays off ( usually right after he made a good one) at the expense of giving up a touchdown.

SoCal, he was so bad that Curome Cox, a training camp warm body, and a second and third round rookie were a safer bet than him. He's BAD.

(Now watch. He'll go play for the Bengals and have seven intercepions next season.)

Wait, somewhere in here I see Shannahan planting a smile on his face as his mind set skips the draft, spring camp and goes staight to KC game prep - "forget about the draft, let's plan the bbq - with the special KC sauce!"

He really got ripped by this forum last year but he didn't play horribly. He got beat a few times and he didn't tackle well, but he didn't get beat for TDs and he didn't get beat deep. I think he'll be a good pick up for some team. Hopefully not the Chefs.

Denver really could have used Walls when the playoffs came and Williams was hurt.

I loved how Lenny would start chest thumping when the WR he was covering would drop the ball, all the while Lenny was about 10 yards from him.
