Cool pictures.

I got the wife a Nikon Coolpix 5900 and we like it a lot. I compared it a lot of other digital cameras and it had the best quality, options, and simplicity for it's amount. We won't be taking anything like Pez, but we've taken some pictures that we really liked and had them blown up to 8x11 and not have any distortions.

Some say that Kodaks have better color, although not as good as quality, but by switching the color mode to it's finest setting (takes up a lot of memory but we have two 1 GB memory cards) I haven't noticed any difference between a comparitable Kodak model in the color.

I still haven't found a photo software bundle that I really like yet though.

Mine won't be up to "Pez qualilty"... or even as good as some of the digital pix posted on this thread... (they're vidcaps from my camcorder) but some might enjoy them anyway. The first 10 or so were taken from our backyard...

I thought it was but I wasn't quite sure. I thought it was either Garden of the Gods or Red Canyon Park north of Canon City. Both have a similar view of Pikes Peak.

I'll have much more from the trip very soon. Along with a ton of pictures (I took 4245 .raw format images alone!)
