Adopt-a-Bronco:
Al Wilson
Default Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Fundraiser

A friend of mine is participating in a marathon to raise money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society through their Team in Training Program. He will be running 26.2 miles in Vancouver on May 7th with the hopes of raising $4500 to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. For those of you that don't know, I was diagnosed with Leukemia in December of 97 and have had an ongoing battle with the disease since then. I can tell you that this is a great charity and the money goes to where it is needed most, finding a cure. Any help you could give would be great, the smallest donation makes a big difference. Here is a link to his page, and thanks Chris for doing this, even though you are a cowboy fan.... good luck with TO

Yeah we have been donating for several years now. I am glad to hear you are doing well. Unfortunately a friend of mine was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia around Christmas and also a huge mass in his chest and it has been a very rough time for those around him. They said this is a type of Leukemia that usually happens to little children and he is a very rare case since he is 26. I am glad to help in any way I can.

I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in 97, I was 20 at the time and was considered rare at that age as well. I relapsed in 2001 and then had a bone marrow transplant out at Dana Farber in Boston, ever since then had some bumps in the road, but have been Leukemia free, so tell your friend to keep his chin up, they are making great advances with treatments. Positive attitude and good family and friends goes a long way in fighting the battle.

Just wanted to thank everyone for their donations, every little bit helps. Taco can't tell you how much I appreciate you keeping this stickied for a little while. Gotta love the Mane & Bronco nation!!! Look forward to seeing everyone in Cleveland, New England and DEFINITELY a game in Mile High next season, then we get the entire O MANE group for a Broncofest in Miami Feb 4, 2007!!!

Thanks, that is real good information, he has been getting worse lately and his attitude is very down. He is at Strong Memorial in Rochester and it seems like they are having a difficult time treating it. I will pass this info on as positive info in these cases is sometimes difficult to find.
