Fine by me, except I am not sold on Haas. Love Degory - Broncs would have a offensive lineman to talk to the press. I understand he is quite a practical joker and has a great sense of humor. Maybe he and Burns could form a comedy team.

I like your idea of drafting 4 WRs. Nobody is really talking about WR, but I think that's our biggest need. Rod Smith turns 36 in a month or so. He might hit the wall most WRs reach at 33. I'll get choked up when he leaves, but it happens to the best of them. Then we are left with Lelie as the only proven WR for the future. It's debatable whether Lelie is reliable or not.

I figure it would send a signal in camp: "Fish or cut bait."

I don't know. Devoe is starting to become a force and David Terrell might actually work out. Plus, Watts COULD get to a point where he is a good contributor. I have more questions at TE. Hopefully, Duke will be a good one. However, he is more of an unproven commodity than the WRs I mentioned.

Agree - I would be happier taking chances on 2-3 WRs in the mid rounds rather than taking one of the guys being thrown around as a first rounder. Sub Hagan for Haas and I am sold.

Eh. No thank you. Four wide receivers? I hope you're joking.

I like White and Hali, but bleh to the other prospects. I'd take Haas or Orr, but not both and all the others.

any mock that does not have the Broncos moving up to get Davis is not supporting the effort.

I do not think there is another player that can have the impact on a team like Davis right out of the box. I would remind folks about the role that Sharpe played. Kellan Winslow changed games. Gates and Gonzo make teams defend differently. A power TE helps the run game go because he ties up at least one LB and maybe more.

White is just a runner. There are many of them. The Broncos can make even Mike Bell look good. There are fewer power TEs. If I were the Broncos' FO, I'd trade my 15th and my 22nd to NO to get Davis. No question about it.

todd devoe is no where near being a force of any kind......one good catch doesnt make him the next star reciever...much mroe likely taht watts or terrell will step up this year aftter a good offseason

I guess that's what a lot of us thought last year when Shanahan took 3 CBs.

We're not going to take four receivers, that'd be a waste of draft picks and would lessen our ability to bring in other talent to compete for jobs at other positions during camp.

Are you sure about that?

I thought there was still some doubt as to whether he would actually be able to play period.

everyone likes to cheer for the underdog - It would be a good story and I hope it happens but the chances are very slim

I'm not convinced that moving up is the right thing to do - yet. If we make it to day one of the draft without making another trade and someone starts to slip (Vernon Davis or someone else - OTHET THAN VY), I'd listen to offers.
