Dude, this guy is unreal on Madden '05 after about 2-3 years of development - It's probably safe to say that Madden isn't always right.

Hmmmmm, with this and talk of a QB in the draft, are BVP's days numbered? I'd rather have him than McMahon.

everyone young is good on madden after development. madden has like a zero bust ratio.

At the very least, BVP was so good last pre-season he deserves a closer look this summer .... (but don't say that to Taco John).

so sorry, should we say 'natural madden development' and not player controlled development [clarification] - wow

why does that have a bust rate? haven't played madden in a while but pretty much anyone I started got better, and anyone I left to rot on the bench didnt.

I'd like McMahon in Denver. Younger version of the Snake. Also would make drafting a QB with #15 useless!

Mike McMahon at backup? That would be music to my ears...

Yuck. Did any of you guys see him play this season? There's a reason Philly jumped all over Garcia.

Meh the guy backed up Harrington and then couldn't do squat for the Eagles last year after Mcnabb got hurt. I wouldn't get to excited seeing him in the game for Denver.

If they get him lets hope he holds the clipboard all season.

Good news. Worst case scenario he pushes BVP and we have another QB who knows our system. He might not make the final roster, but it'll offer some nice protection in case of injuries and who knows, maybe he really steps it up.

With the Bears just signing Griese though I'd like to make a move on Orton, offer a 6th rounder or some crap, its clear the Bears have no desire to see him play for them. He's got a big arm and showed real toughness leading a weak offense as a rookie last season. He played better than a lot of 1st round QBs did in their rookie years, given a few years to develop as Plummer's backup and he could be ready to lead a hell of a downfield passing attack.

I'd take him or Harrington.

He is never going to play much with McNabb there so he might as well get a better chance here as Plummer is going to retire/leave sooner then McNabb will.

McMahon?! Bring him in! That guy is great. I love that guy. He fights, he spits, he gouges, he's a total Ahole! Alright. Plus he looks cool on the sidelines in the shades and the headband. Huh? What? Oh. MIKE McMahon? Never heard of him. I thought you meant Jim...

The bars in Denver could not hold enough liquor for the 2 of them. Or as they say in the movies "This towns not big enough for the both of us!".

I am baffled as to why DUH Bears would sign SOB now. Whoreton played well enough to win 10 games with the team, he did not win the games on his own but he did not make bad choices. His QB rating is pitiful but that boils down to coaching. With another year under his belt he should get better & challenge Sexy Rexy. THey should have brought in a Vet LAST year, I think this is just to deflect the heat from the fans so when Sexy gets tapped & his glass fibula shatters then they will be able to tell the fans they have a Vet in the wings.

If I were Whorton I would be pissed. When was the last time SOB won 10 games?

Good thought! I like Orton better than McMahon. He's a winner. Actually, I'd be happy with us bringing in anybody just to make sure we don't waste the #15 pick on a QB!

the Eagles wern't exactly tearing it up on offense before Mcnabb got hurt. I say bring him in. The eagles didnt or dont have the weapons that the Broncos have on Offense. I still think the guy deserves a shot with a decent team to see what he can do.

I think Brooks would be a better option, as long as his salary demands were reasonable.

The problem with Harrington and Brooks is that they'll likely be looking for places they can fight for a starting job at now or in the near future. We don't need that, Plummer is our QB for at least two more seasons, BVP is showing potential. We just need a guy who can step in and push BVP but will be content with a #2 job for a few years if he outplays him [BVP]. McMahon is a perfect fit if you ask me. He got one hell of a trial by fire in the second half of last year on an iggles team that wasn't that good to start and only got worse as injuries mounted. We've got much better offensive personel and an offensive system that suits his skills.

He could come in and lose the #2 job to BVP for all I care, I just want the FO to have options in case of injury or BVP failing to make the strides needed to establish himself as a legitimate QB at the NFL level. He's good competition and it'll give us three QBs who all have the same skill set. Sounds like a great fit, and he'll probably be real cheap too.

he was "so good" last preseason?

hmmm, you mustve watched a different preseason than i did.
i saw a kid who is tough and can run.
i also saw a kid in the passing game who couldnt hit water if he fell
out of a f***ing boat.

half his passes were so far off his intended target it was hard to even IDENTIFY that target.
mcmahon might at least be a viable backup.

if vanpelt has to play we might as well just forfeit.
