DeAngelo Williams is a beast, I wouldnt mind him at all. and I like the overall fact that they have us picking a RB and a DE. (thats a good pick at DE too..I hope we dont trade off those picks.

I will cry if White is taken by New England right before us... If I was Shanahan with the players left (when we picked at 22) I would definately look to trade down. As good as Williams is, we have shown that we don't need first round draft pick RB to be excellent and we have too many other needs along both lines and at WR and S...

Awesome, I have been hoping for weeks that there is someway DW2 falls to us.
Looks like the pieces are starting to fall into place. I think I would rather take Kiwi than Wimbley though |

It's a bit of a reach for Wimbley at the point IMO. Especially with Mario and Hali being the only DE taken at that point. I'm also not sure we will draft a RB in the first and I especially don't see both Pope and Lewis making it into the second round. Just another example of how deep this class is. Which is why I'm beginning to warm up to the idea of trading our 22nd pick for a later first and another second or third rounder. |

all along i have been telling myself not to get my hopes up about DW2 in the first round becuase a.)historically we dont take rd. 1 runners and 2.) he should be gone by 22.......but with all of the teams being set at RB already i cant help but get excited about teh possibility of him falling to us
williams and pope/wimbley in rd. 1 trade bell and rd. 2 pick for javon walker sploogey sploogey |

Is there any chance at all that Kubes takes Brick instead? Maybe even sliding down a slot or 3 to do it? Seems like this would be a bigger cure for their O.
Is Bush going #1 such a forgone conclusion? Every mock has him going #1. I'm not going to be shocked if it doesn't work out that way. |

DO IT!!! I'm not sure about Wimbley tough, but getting Williams and Walker would be good for the offense. |

Just Bell, or just a #2 and I'd probably be there with it, but not both, thats an overpay. Looks real intersting on the RB front. Shanny and Co. are great evaluators at the position, but typically like someone else better for our system than the "experts" think we should. Wouldn't surprise me if we passed on White/Williams/Maroney seeing someone like Mike Bell as better value. I think its further complicated by us having two 1sts though. Maybe Shanny would be willing to spend one of them on something like RB, but if he does I'm betting he'll hold off until 29th, trying to maximize the level of the steal. |

If the Falcons just signed Abraham, I doubt that they'll take Tamba Hali.
