Players had a few extra days to field calls and take side trips to these cities. Browns have come out on fire, tho.

Well in Cleveland's case, They don't let them visit until they've signed the contract...

That seems strange ... his wife is from here, and that's supposedly why he signed here.

His wife even has a TV segment every week with Amy van Dyken and Hasselbeck's wife.

He had a great season here, a great playoffs .... I don't get it.

I guess the Seahawks must really love ... D.J. Hackett!!!!!!!!

He had a great playoff run with Tampa Bay, too. That is odd, tho, why he would want to leave a conference winning team.

Wow, that's an affordable contract for a clutch WR like that. Would have loved to see him in Denver. Oh well... I'll settle for Givins.

Well, you know, I don't want to become too overexposed. Figure I'll spend the weekend taking a break from media whoring.

I heard he signed to help get his wife away from Amy van Dyken. He took less money to do it, and he has to live in Cleveland now - but both he and his wife saw it as an investment worth making.

I think Denver could still look at a guy like Brian Finneran. He was clutch for Vick last year. He did break Lynch's a$$ bone 2 years ago, but I think that could be put aside.

I have just always heard that she wasn't a very nice person. There was the competitive stuff that you always heard before she retired - like spitting in opponents lanes, and stuff. But I have also heard just around Denver that she is sort of a nightmare to deal with. It was almost uncanny for awhile before Rouen got traded - over about six months, I must have run into five unrelated people that had run-ins with her over one thing or another (people like waiters, auto service advisors, retail people, etc.).

Who knows, though - maybe she was just anguished over watching her husband punt through the back of the end zone every time we needed him to put it inside the 20. I sure couldn't fault her for that.

I coined a word for Tom Rouen: "Coffcornaphobia" ... fear of a coffin corner. A similar affliction to: "Statspadaphobia."

Too bad he's a Buff ....

I agree he experience the Gibbs treatment and knows who important it is for WR to block. Plus with Vick throwing to him, he very underrated. My only concern is his age- 30.

Im not sure I follow that. You don't think he will start in Cleveland? Really the only guy ahead of him is Edwards. Bryant is a FA, Northcutt is pretty much equal to Engram. It comes down to do you think that Hackett should be held back another year. No way does Joe not beat out Frisman Jackson. Plus its about time for Winslow to do something to hurt himself.
