McCain is a hardcore conservative....people just think he's a moderate because he's a bit of a maverick within the GOP. |

McCain signed off on the war even though he knew better. He's a: a hack or b: a neocon.
I heard him say something similar on Hardball years ago. He predicted bush presidencies well past the next decade. After Jeb, a new generation will be ready. |

He's a neocon. Look at the record if there's any doubt.

if jeb runs, there is no way he will win. c'mon now, mccain knows this as well as anyone else on the board. like cleveland said, this is a light-hearted comment at best.

But what Cleveland might have said is that bendog assumes too much if he thinks McCain "knew better" when he voted to give Mr. Bush his backing to go into Iraq. Unless dog is unusually well informed, I suspect that he knows little about what Sen. McCain knows "better." I haven't read the context of McCain's comment. In fact I haven't read that he sid it at all, except here. Assuming that he did say it, yeah, it sounds light-hearted. People make jokes sometimes. |
