Pat Yasinskas, of the Charlotte Observer, reports the Carolina Panthers have $102.5 million committed towards the salary cap, which is now expected to be about $102 million after NFL owners and the players union agreed to extend the collective bargaining agreement. It's likely the team will use some restructured contracts to create some cap room for free agency.

They will be chasing the same receivers as the Broncs. Their Smith can't do it alone either and Colbert was dismal this year.

Wouldn't it suck to be fans of a team that are barely under the new CBA's salary cap? "Oh yeah! We can go after Jay Fiedler and...ummm...Johnnie Morton!" Last edited by WABronco; 03-09-2006 at 05:48 PM.. |
