Oscar question ...

At the end of the current oscar thread i ask ...Ok i watched the Oscars "sorta" was watching 2 shows usen tivo jumping between oscars and something i cared about . I think i watched it all tho while FF thru the music performances and speachs to see who won and what not .. I did watch the last 30 mins or so non stop and seen the "Who we lost this year part" with all the greats that past away over the year sence last oscars .. As this part started i tell Girlfriend you know will be last 2 on the list and she goes yup .. and i say i bet they get a standing O ... she says yup.. so we watch it .. and NO Don Knotts ... WTF .... did i miss a special part in the show that mentioned his death at start of show or something ? ... really Pi$$ed me off actually ... Im not a big fan of Hollyweird or fake sincerity and it just leaks from these Fer's.

I'm guessing it's because he died this year, not last year. I'll bet he's included in 2007's tribute to the people lost in 2006.

Of course, his best known work was done for the small screen, but I don't think they left him off for that reason.

I'd agree with that, but I think Chris Penn just died this year too. Jan 24th I think. I just think they made the clip a couple weeks before the show. I didn't see Darren McGavin (Dad from A christmas story) on the clip either. So since they both died the same day, or within a day of each other, I think the clip was done before they died...and the academy is too f***ing lazy to add those two in.
