The Associated Press reports the NFL and the NFLPA resumed negotiations Friday, March 3, but did not talk publicly about the meetings or the location. It is believed the negotiations took place in New York. Owners were threatened with fines for talking to the media and NFLPA executive director Gene Upshaw was equally silent.

Maybe there could be good news on the horizon or maybe I'm still dreaming.

I've been so busy these last few days, I've missed most of the news. Where do we stand now on the CBA? Is it dead in the water, or just wounded?

I really hope they work something out. With a few more days of press and explanations, a lot of players are probably beginning to see that no new CBA is in fact a very very bad thing for everyone involved. Hopefully Gene hears from his own constituents that a compromise would be best for everyone involved.
