OK man.

What the **** is going on? I just saw this thread and read the first page and the last page and decided no one knows **** really but the title says we did trade for him.

I gather some kid "leaked" the story and his credibility came into question. Thn it was later reported by ESPN's own Pasta Belly (and, apparently Clayton) and now said kid's credibility has been restored?

What the ****, Pasta and Clayton were probably using the kid as the source!

I dont know Abraham, so I dont want him. I know Peppers, I want him.

Depends on what you choose to believe. What the Jets want you to hear or what is presented by conflicting reports...

The dude scares me. He's Mr glass jaw when it comes to playing with injury's and even staying healthy for a season.

He's not worth a #1. Especially with this draft being deep! Denver will have a solid shot a top rated pass rusher and at a cheaper price then Abraham would cost.

T.O. yes he plays. Abraham no he's not a player.

He reported before any news outlet.

Check his site. it's on there. and he goes to BC and is a smart kid. He's not some kid in his mothers house making a webcam show.
I was just commenting on how I found it sort of funny...

I believe him. Why would he destroy his credibility and his own website?

Yeah, if you forget about the 1st round pick we sent to the Skins last year for their 1st this year. Remember, pick #25, Jason Campbell or whatever his name was?

I just love that we've got two threads of five plus pages based on a rumor that's being reported by some kid with a web cam and PFT.

The only thing that really should be discussed about this is which of those two has less credibility. I think it's a coin toss.

That's what I'm sayin'.

Why not just add a player through free agency and keep the #1? Brentson Buckner is floating around in space right now. Derrick Brooks is floating in space. No reason to tie up cap in a guy that doesnt play that much (see Trevor Pryce).

Not only that, but if Denver needed to get rid of a #1 to save cap space, they could package them together to move up for a player they target. No need to throw one out the window.

...all this started when someone posted a Bergen Record article saying that a deal for Abraham was in place.

Well, I'm lukewarm...I think T.O. would help us more, or maybe hurt us more. This CBA extention only muddies the water even more. I don't think Abraham is worth a first for several obvious reasons. Money, injuries, attitude and age.

He's also light at 255, the same weight as V. Davis. He does get sacks when healthy, but the first thing a DE loses is speed with age. PASS unless it's a second.

What a mess

People wonder why the Broncos can't fix the pass rush. Well, maybe because they haven't used a 1st rounder on a D-lineman since Trevor Pryce in 1996.

Now they've got two first rounders at their disposal and a chance to beef up the D-line with two strong, young D-line prospects and they want to deal one of those picks away? You've got to be ****ing kidding me.

Who's to say they won't go with Kiwi, Hali, or Bunkley at 22? Sure, it may be a bit impractical, but it's possible...

I wouldn't even say PFT is reporting the rumor, they're just repeating what the kid said. You could at least give some more weight to it if PFT says their own sources say the same thing, but reporting what a kid in a dormroom says is pretty weak.

So lets give up the 29th pick all because past #29 overall haven't worked out? So if we are sitting at 28th and they all turned out well it would be much different huh? lol

If this is true I'm in favor of it. Denver is close to being a SB team. They need an impact player. The 29th selection is not going to be an impact player. If this is true Denver just got a whole lot better.

They said they were "looking into it," so hopefully they get another report out soon...

No, let's give up the 29th pick for a guy who has had 10+ sacks 4 out of the last 5 years.

Let's give up the 29th pick for a guy that can make an impact now.

We have about a 2 year window with the current core of veterans.

I would take Buckner over JA. Maybe Abraham is cheaper than buckner? But I would not be upset if we get Abraham. He would still be an upgrade compared to Pryces' season last year.

Not likely.

Keep both picks and get a pair of young, promising D-linemen who combined will cost less than Abraham.
