Default Could Denver afford Rice if Tampa cuts him?

I'd like Denver to go for S. Rice if tampa cuts him, he would be the speed rusher Denver has needed except he would probably cost an arm and a leg.

We'll have the money to pursue someone like that, but it wouldn't leave much left for other free agents and our 1st round picks.

I don't want him, and I don't think Jake would either due to some disparraging comments he made about Pat Tillman

I bet 10:1 that thing is being blown up the way fans/ the media do sometimes with things like that...

Its en vogue to dump on rice, I like to know the real story here, or even if there is a story...

Rice would bring something to our D that we desperately need, and would change our defense and what we can do with it. If we got rice and did a few other things we could take our D to the next level...

Rice wont be cut cos the Bucs will only save $2.8m.

I thought he was making close to 9 this year and it would cost the 2.8 to let him go.

I saw him on the Best Damn Sports Show a couple months ago. He must've said "me" 20,000 times in a span of 5 minutes. He's a fruitcake, we don't want him...

Wrong way round, if they release him, they save $2.8m, he still counts $6.4m against the cap.

like Shanahan cares. if he thinks he can help the team he would get him. he's skilled and we need a pass rusher, so I wouldnt mind having him as long as he produced, but I can't see him as a bronco for some reason. I don't think we will get him, but you never know.
