Default Dennis Weaver

Chester passed yesterday.

I enjoyed him especially in "The Duel" in which he played a driver who was pursued by an unknown (and unseen) truck driver. The first movie by Stephan Spielburg. But as Chester, he was at his best.

RIP, Chester.

My Dad loved the show McCloud.

Weaver also played in a TV movie which was very good about him being a coke addict.

Sad news...for both actors. Dennis Weaver and Darin McGavin.

Weaver lived in a Eco House in Ridgeway with camels and other animals.

RIP - Dennis and Darin.

I was just thinking about that house made out of tires and stuff.

I knew Dennis. I stayed at that house. He didn't live with camels. His next door neighbor raised camels on his ranch (and tried to sell you one every time you were there. Last time I was there, he was trying to sell a camel to Dennis and Dennis wasn't buying). Dennis did own some prize Llamas; but they lived on the ranch, not in his house.

The house is amazing. I stayed there once for two nights during a horrible storm with -20 weather and no sun. The house stayed at 68 plus degrees the entire time without any heating. And it was beautiful to boot.

Dennis was a fine man and he will be sorely missed by his wonderful wife and three sons.

Duel... what a fantastic movie. I'm surprised (and happy) they haven't tried to re-make that one.
