Dear OrangeForce One,

Guys, I’d like to reprint one of the photos on your website in our upcoming travel book, called The Ultimate Tailgater’s Travel Guide. It’ll be on the shelves come the end of August. This is a follow up to our previous book, The Ultimate Tailgater’s Handbook. Since our request is coming at you out of the blue, I’m happy to explain who we are, what our book is about, and why we want your picture.

The Book: The official title is The Ultimate Tailgater’s Travel Guide. It lists over 20 locations for great tailgating across the country. It will be sized 5½ by 7½ inches, with about 278 pages inside. Our publishing partner for this project is Rutledge Hill Press. We provide the content; they do the printing and distributing.

The premise is that a tailgater who’s come to town to watch a game (in this case the Denver Broncos) will spend one day at the game/stadium, but will probably be in the area for three or four days. We provide tailgaters with information on other fun things to do while they’re in town. This includes places to stay, shop, eat, and local attractions. This is a follow-up to The Ultimate Tailgater’s Handbook, published last year.

We also talk a little about each location, including some history of the team(s), and the city. In that section, we want to show typical tailgaters at a game, having a tailgate party. That’s where you guys come in.

Photos: All photos in the book will be printed in two-color, no larger than 4 by 6 inches. Our preferred image format is a 300dpi JEG file. The image we’re interested in using is number 13, in your photo album of the Broncos vs. New England Patriots game on Oct. 16, 2005. It’s an image of a guy squatting in front of a grill loaded with food, and wearing a Broncos shirt.

Legal Stuff: We’ll need to get a photo release of the guy pictured in this shot. We can send you the release via fax or e-mail. Once it’s signed, just fax it back to us. If the man in the shot is unavailable (like, he was a perfect stranger who just wandered by, and you have no idea who he is, or how to find him) then we’ll have to find another shot.

While we’re not able to pay you for the photo, you will receive full photo credit (let us know how that should read) and we’ll certainly send you a copy, or copies, of the book when it comes out. And, having your name in a nationally distributed book is pretty cool, after all.

Please let me know as soon as possible, as we’re getting our advance galleys together to send to travel magazines (we’re using Boston, Denver and Nashville as our advance “sneak-peak” chapters.) Our timeline is scary short.

I know that's AK1971 in the background. You can't mistake the pimp suit. Not sure who the others are? It could be you!

Ak is it ok if they use your orange pants and those damn black shoes you always wear....lmao You see every game I give AK grief about his black shoes. He never changes them. I think it's a mojo thing now.

Masterpain grills up some good eats. Tell them you need copies for everyone in the pic MP. I'm sure that is my right foot coming into the right side of the picture.

This is definetly a top five pic from last season. It makes me laugh everytime I see it.

I just realized one of the pre-season game albums isn't up. I'm pretty sure this was the San Fran game this season. It was up at one point...hmmm

BTW...The SD pics and the Playoff game pics will be up very soon. I know I've said that several times but the pics are now in the hands of NyBroncoManiac who handles the pictures for the site.

Once we get those up we're going to back track and finally get the home KC pics up.

I don't any steeler pix since that was the one freakin home game I missed. I know Bronx took a bunch. I could probably tap into his inventory to fill that gap.
