Default Vernon Davis 40 times, (High 4.3, Low 4.4)

According to Scott Wright of NFL Draft Countdown, Vernon Davis ran very impressive 40's today in the high 4.3 to low 4.4 range, and Marcedes Lewis ran in the 4.8 range.

Wow, 4.8 might drop Lewis to our 2nd rounder. We'd have to grab him if available at that point.

Mock traded up with SoCal and took him in the mock draft...unfortunately, neither the HornHeads or Horsies will reach him now without a major move...

Mock has been selling this freak for a couple months after I saw that video...How can you run a sub 4.4 at 254? That's freakin' unreal. "drools like Homer"

Notice the doh-nut is out of his grasp...Dammit...

Colin Cowherd said he ran a 4.37. He also did 33 bench reps.

I saw a brief peice on NFL network of him doind the benchpress... This guy is an absolute freak of nature. I don't see any way he falls out of the top 10. he will probably be the first WR/TE off the board

He was always a Top 10 pick despite what a lot of fans wanted to believe. There's a reason why Kiper said VD had graded out as highest TE ever. The guy is now in with Bush, Leinart, D'Brick, Young, and Super Mario as the elite prospects in this draft.

With this WR class, he's been the first off the board since he declared.

now is two first rounders too much for him in this draft? Maybe its me but seems like there is alot of hype about this draft.

I'd love to have Vernon Davis here but, can he rush the passer? With the not so sure status of Pryce and Warren we might need our 2 #1's to use one or two on a DL in round 1.

No suprise here. Vernon Davis practically lived in the weight room at the University of Maryland. The wall is plastered with all of his weight lifting records.

I thought Davis had a good career at College Park, but not a great one. I think Davis will be a Pro Bowl tight end, but I wouldn't go overboard by trading two 1sts for him. In the last 10 years, the two tight ends to be taken in the top ten picks are Ricky Dudley (9th overall) and Kellen Winslow Jr. (6th overall).
