Bengals:Marvin Lewis has received a contract extension - The Orange Mane

Updating previous reports, the Cincinnati Bengals have announced head coach Marvin Lewis has received a contract extension through the 2010 season. He was previously signed through 2008. "Marvin has done a wonderful job for the football club on the field and off, and we want to reward his efforts and continue the relationship well into the future," said Mike Brown, Bengals president.

Marvin Lewis is an idiot - probably one of the dumbest coaches in the league.

And have you ever been to Cincinnati? It's a hole!

And their fans are inbred and ugly - they all look like they are descendants of Marge Schott's putrid womb.

And Carson Palmer is a wuss that couldn't play through a minor little injury.

I've really grown to strongly dislike this team of brats and the mouthy, fair-weathered, bandwagonist fanbase that follows them. Any team run by Mike Brown can't remain good for very long, so my guess is that this up and coming menace of "Bengalmania" will be too ephemeral to really take seriously or bother with for very much longer. A pox on them all.

I'm unconvinced he's the mastermind behind any turnaround. kinda like when brian billick won the superbowl based on marvin lewis' defense seems like marvin lewis is winning based on the embarassment of riches on offense.

Man...we are starved for news...it's the dead zone right now. I can't speak for their fans, I didn't think they had too many...never had a Tiger sighting here cept for Beezer.

You can't argue that he hasn't improved that team that was literally in the gutter. Imagine the Broncos with all those high picks.

Sorry cant give the guy his props {which i was earlier (about a month ago) saying he deserved the credit by bringing the bungles up} but after that bone headed comment about C.Johnson playing cb for fun I have lost some respect for the man cause I think he is a used tampon and is nothing but a whiner.
