Default More trade rumors?

According to a poster on the ESPN boards, (yeah I know) we are talking to the Cowboys about La'Roi Glover for a 2nd rounder. He claims this is per ESPN radio. Anyone else hear this? Its kind of high for a guy thats 31 now and going to be 32 during the season. He is a good player though. Thoughts? It could play into the Lelie trade....if you are following me

Numbers down due to transition to 3-4. Makes a certain amount of sense that Denver would be looking for guys in that situation, but who knows?

The way I understand it, he's due a huge bonus and could be released. Seems unlikely that we'd take on that big salary.

It doesn't seem likely to me we'd swap a 2nd rounder for a soon to be 32 year old coming off a less than stellar season. If he's released, I certainly wouldn't mind bringing him in for the right price.

Geez...if the Broncos are going to trade away a 2nd round pick for a lineman, his last name better start with an A and end with braham...

No could be about it. He will be released. No team will trade and pick up his cap number.

The original thread in the Cowboys forum says it was on NFL Radio, and that guy never heard it himself but read it in a different forum.

The same guy that started the thread in Broncos forum about Glover posted in the Cowboys forum that PFW says don't be surprised if both Ricky and TO are in Denver this season.

I have a hard time buying it but doesnt the team have to eat the bonus if they trade him to another team?

Yes, the rest of the unamortized bonus money accelerates when someone is traded.

Glover is talented and still has a little left in the tank, but Denver would be crazy to take the cap hit by trading for him.

I wouldn't mind getting Glover or Ellis, but we sure as hell shouldn't be trading any second rounder for them when they are going to be cut in short period of time not to mention the fact I'm not sure of any team that can take on their exhorbinant salaries/cap hit.

Default speaking of la'roi

I just got back from the Pro Bowl Kickoff Event in downtown Honolulu and La'Roi was one of four pro bowlers there. He was the first to speak and he does stand out in a crowd. He was wearing a sleeveless white shirt and his arms are MASSIVE. I must say those are the biggest arms I've ever seen!

While we are talking rumors...I've already heard/read the niners have shown interest in Ashlie Lelie.....

I believe the niners are trying to fill as many wholes as possible and picking with the number 7 pick won't do it...

Don't be surprised to see us ship Lelie and both 1st rounders to San Fran for their 1st so as long as the player we want is still on the board...if Mario Williams falls to #7 (which may not happen)...but I can see this trade happening...

and considering that both 1sts could probably get Denver into the top 10, giving up Ashley is overkill

This was rumored last year as well, in the rumored Trevor Pryce trade.

no doubt. Players know we are close, shanny knows were close, only a couple pieces away!!

I hope that players wanting to come here will play for reduced salary.

What about this Herc...

Our two firsts, Lelie, and our second

for

their first and their second

means Lelie's value is about 318 on the draft value chart thingy, which I think is more in line.

Take out Denver's 2nd, but I still wouldn't be happy with only having one 1st, and since Mario will probably be gone, there's really no one I want to move up for.
