I am absolutely pumped and it's still a good two months away. I just want ppl to giive me their imput on who we MUST take a chance on. My guy is Tamba Hali or Lawerence Maroney int the first. In the Second I like Moss. In the later rounds I would like to take a chance on Bloom. We also should look at the Oline from minnisota. I'm from Iowa and I know that one guy we should take a flier on is Clinton Solomon. Big Frame with descent speed. GREAT Hands. Another guy is Abdul Hoge, I know he's a LB, but damn he is GREAT!

I think things will get clearer closer to draft. If we go by plan now. Not knowing who slips to our pick. If it were me I'd focus on
DE DT S in round 1 (I'd add RB but, I think we will trade 4 Ricky) Pryce and Warren deals are up in the air we might need replacements early in draft. RB is an option as well in round 1 if Ricky is not here after all. Having signed Nalen and reworking Lepsis I think OL need drops to 2 3 or 4th rounds in draft. WR is not a Round 1 need either ( Watts or Terrell might develop under Dinger) We might land TO we'll see. This might be the year Denver bolsters both lines in this draft. Denver might trade a #1 away for 07 #1 and picks Last edited by NFLBRONCO; 02-06-2006 at 12:16 AM.. |

I like Bunkley and Kiwi...don't like Hali. He's got a high motor but he's to small and to slow to be an impact player at the next level. I think he'll be just another guy on the line. I want either a trade for a true impact player high in the draft...Mario Williams...Ngata...in a really absurd fantasy Vince Young...but I doubt any of that happens so I think we have to get 6 solid players out of this draft or it's a failure. When you have 5 1st day picks in a draft this deep there's no excuse not to score big. Two picks in the 4th round also...we should be able to find a stud D-lineman, 2 O-line guys, a safety and a tight end. Here's my "realilstic" wish list:
1a- DT- Broderick Bunkley; gotta beef up that line and I think Kiwi's gone, so Bunkley's the biggest difference maker left. Next to Warren he'll dominate...strong and quick and carrying no extra fat, this guy can penetrate in the middle. 1b-TE- Mercedes Lewis or Vernon Davis- If one of these guys is there I'd grab him at #29. Rod is getting truly close to the end, and Lelie still hasn't shown he's a mid-range threat in traffic. Puts is average. Our offense needs a chain mover to diversify Jake's options. I'll take Davis 1st due to his speed but be happy with either one. 2- S- Darnell Bing USC; size and good speed, started as a true freshman at USC and can bring the wood. We need a replacement for Lynch pretty soon and I think this dude can play. USC turns out some good ones. 3a- G- Davin Joseph or Charles Spencer. I think Joseph is gone but either would make me feel much better about the RG spot than I do with Carlyle. 3b- If he falls to here I'll take Mississippi States Jerious Norwood at RB...he's a Tatum Bell clone with 4.38 speed...about the same size but runs a little harder up the middle and can break some tackles. 4a- I'd go O-line again here...G- Trey Stallings; Mississippi...6'4" 320, quick, hard worker, honor roll student majoring in Math and Secondary Ed, so what's not to like? Started at LT and RT but should play guard in the NFL. 4b- WR- Hank Baskett, New Mexico 6'4", 215 possession receiver who can get open...maybe Rod's future replacement. |
