Default Lions | Martz accepts job, but contract to be determined

Wed, 1 Feb 2006 15:16:00 -0800

Jim Thomas, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reports former NFL coach Mike Martz has accepted the job as the Detroit Lions' offensive coordinator, but contract terms have yet to be worked out as of mid-day Wednesday, Feb. 1.

This gould be interesting watch. With their WR crew. Just need to get Joey straight in the head, or get another QB.

This is a good match. Dome team, lots of receivers, and stupid (Millen) leading crazy (Martz).

I think that negotiations fell through, so this is a no-go for the moment.

This should just fuel the fire under those who are leading the "Fire Millen" marches.

The Lions are ****, they've always been ****. Folks wonder why Sanders retired. Well, anybody who thinks Sanders is a loser for retiring can suck my d1ck. The Lions quit on players. Not the other way around.

Who isn't on that train these days? I mean other than the NFC North teams that are happily watching the Lions being horribly mismanaged.

this will be glorious, watch the lions pull a 7-9 easy schedule season out of their ass and all of a sudden they are on an upswing. I can see it coming.

Law of averages says that it's bound to happen at some point...BUT, Millen is still there and he seems to defy probability pretty regularly.
