Default NCAA: Police and Courts: Claude Wroten

The Daily Enterprise reports Fourth District Attorney Jerry Jones announced he has dismissed the felony drug charges against LSU DT Claude Wroten. He was arrested Jan. 4 by Sterlington police and charged after a routine traffic stop with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. Officers allege Wroten had two bags of marijuana in his car and more than $3,200 in cash in his wallet.

Well we should scratch him off the draft list. Even if the charges where dropped. This kid got some baggage.

Agree, at least on the first day. Too bad, he looked like the best DT fit the Broncs had a realistic chance of getting in the first round.

Many on-line draft sites had him projected to be taken by Denver in round one.

Something like this could push him to day two.Lucky for him it was dismissed and it's only Jan/early Feb.

If he did this in March it would destroy any shot at big payday.

Amazing that a kid with his talent and possible future would be doing this crap.

Actually I thought the way he handled himself, after the charges, was good. If he does like Castilla did last year and sends a letter to every team saying he made a mistake and has learened from it - I bet he goes in 2/3rd round. I wouldn't hesitate to take him at our slot in the second.

What was the reason again?

These indictments with no trial amuse me. Do college kids generally run around with 3500 bucks and a kilo?

And the kid walks...WTF is that?

He's making a couple grand a week on his scholarship?

i'd like to see his doctored grades...
