I bought a 68 Ford Torino last summer, didn't need much work, but a few things here and there. Well, today I took her out for a drive and boy did it feel great! Haven't had her on the road for several months, got some new brakes on her, and a tune up, and she runs like a top! It was pretty fun cruising her around a bit. Tomorrow I'll probably wash it up, check on a few wiring problems (no dash lites or overhead lite) and drive around again.
I forgot how many looks you get driving an old car, even from young kids, ! |

That is a NICE set of wheels. My brother in law had a 68 Cougar a few years ago... another set of cool Ford wheels. I am thinking about getting a new Pony car, I really dig them. If I had a garage, I think I would go get an oldie - maybe when the kids grow up and leave.

Here's my two babys resting.
Thanks loborugger ! I love the Cragars, I always wanted a set of them when I was a kid, but never had any, and now I finally do! I also like the air shocks on the rear, I think it looks pretty pimp when they are aired up. Need some fatter rear tires, air the shocks up and it's ready for cruise nite! What I'd like to know - Where is your orange and blue garage? I don't see 1 broncos item - WTF?! Now that you have the car, give it a nicer home, gee man! Great looking cars.

You're right Scorpio, it does need bigger wheels. I havn't had a car wth 15's in a loooong time.
I'm pretty lucky. My wife bought me this cuz I was talking about wanting one. Then she gets me tickets to BOTH Bronco playoff games, south stand seats too boot! She's a definite keeper! Edit: Vegas Bronco, I have Bronco stuff inside the house, and a tattoo on my leg! The garage was mostly car stuff. We used to do car shows with the wifes Harley Davidson truck, but sold it and bought a pool. Now the Torino will be fixed up so she can take it to car shows, since she really digs those. Hmmm, I was thinking of repainting the floor this spring, Guess I'll paint it Orange! Last edited by hades; 01-28-2006 at 07:04 PM.. |

Nice looking ride for sure. 390, or maybe a 428 CJ or even SCJ ?

If anyone knows where I can get an AMC Vigilante 327 for a '65 Wagoneer, PLEASE let me know. Some a-hole put a pontiac six-banger in my baby.

took mine out tonight.. between posts actually. sometimes that happens!! there is a nice long curvy road that i "discovered" but had to cut the trip short due to fear of drunken rich people barrelling around in their SUV's thinking they can negotiate turns.
