Default Super Bowl Thread

The seahawks? THE SEAHAWKS? The SeaChickens earned it and so did Pitt.

People can laugh at the Walrus and the Spitter, but they got to the dance.

Here are Sheridan's odds: PITTSBURGH 3½ Seattle 47½

I think it's a tossup. I absolutely no feel for this matchup. I would give Seattle the edge but they are no longer a domed team and I know nothing about them.

I think we laid an egg with Pitt. If anything, I'm inclined to go with Seattle...they have alot of teams used to playing under a dome. I just don't know how you can favor a #6 seed over a #1 seed. Many Seattle players played under a dome, plus they get the points. Finally, Seattle isn't being made to travel early or anything...they should be rested...I said before the bronco game they didn't like early games.

I can't make a call tho.

It's been a long time since this team played in the dome. I think pitt has a clear adv. I see this as a beating. Pitt wins by 3 td's.

Damnit, still too pissed off to talk about this game. I can't believe we're not in it. What the hell happened and who's ass can I kick!? We were so damn close......argh!

My money is on the Steelers, my wish is for the Seahawks to win. It won't be close at all. Seahawks will fall apart by quarter 3 and Steelers will dance until the end of the game. Steelers 31 - 24 (taking the under).

What? Are your crazy? The open air stadium in Seattle has been open for what..2 years? I guess 4 years.

You calling this a 3 TD game is amusing.

You shall see my friend. Seattle is OVERRATED! Pitt is gonna stomp the **** out of them. They have been out of the dome for at least 5 years. Until the stadium they play in now got built they played at the huskie stadium for at least 2 or 3 years.

I checked...4 years. your entitled to your opinion, but calling a 3 TD blowout is rediculous. If you think that's a lock, I suggest putting up 20 points to a bookie...I'm sure he will pay 3-1 on that bet and laugh. God Damn...were your born yesterday?

What people don't understand is this isn't your typical Seattle team. You will see. The Walrus is a fine QB coach and Alexander ran for 1800 yards. They have a good D. They don't really have a weakness. I'm calling it a tossup, but I really am leaning to Seattle. But I'm not such a moron I call them by 3 TD's.

And who did alexander get all those yards against genius. Look at seattle's division. Who the **** have they beat this year

Dallas? - that was a gift. They shut the MVP down. (21 att 61yds 2.9 ypc 0 td's)
Giants? - another gift. 3 missed fg's cost the giants.
Colts? - had nothing to play for and sat most of there starters after one series.

There division is the worst in football. Pitt has a very good defense. Seattle falters against good defenses. No way this game is close. I'll address the moron comment later d**khead!

They certainly handed it to Carolina, last I heard they had a pretty good defense.

They do when healthy. Morgan out by halftime with dislocted shoulder or something. Peppers was hurt. I wont make excuses for a team I dont like but the panthers were banged up and outmatched. Pitt wont be!

Seahawks all the way. The Steelers are jackasses from top to bottom and so are their CS fans. Plus, the whole media machine has now removed its lips from Payaton's arse and planted it firmly on Ben's. Win one for the West, Hawks.

I'll be long dead in the cold cold ground before I even consider saying one f***ing decent thing about the ****tsburgers. f***'em. I'm going with the Chickens. We chased them out of the AFC West, beat'em like a government mule for years. I don't have much animosity towards them, like the retarded kid you were happy to see just try hard and smile and do high fives and ****.

I was rooting for Jerome, but then I realized it meant 5 Lombardis for Pittsburgh. The championship jealousy thing makes me root against other teams with multiple rings. I would rather Seattle get a first ring. Jerome may have paid his dues, but so has Mack Strong. Go Seahawks!!!!!!!!!

Carolina was overrated to begin with. they were up and down all year. And i know your going to bring up the Giants game but lets not forget that Denver blew a lot of teams out all year only to let them back in the games. Had Denver played 60 minutes of football they would have been the best team in the league. So the Giants/Panthers game was a aberration at best. I expect it to be closer than 3 tds but i wouldnt be surprised if Pitt runs away with this.

Seattle got essentially six homecoming games in their division, with 6-10 being the second place record. They had one of the easiest schedules in the league. This Pitt team is better than their 15-1 team last season. Don't let the 11-5 record fool you; they had a lot of injuries in the middle of the season, including to Big Ben, and had a slump. By winning 7 in a row, including 5 on the road, proves that they are an elite team. Now they get a week to rest and prepare. I smell a blowout. Seattle is like those old AFC teams that looked great coming in and would then get a promp spanking by the physically dominant NFC team. The conference roles have reversed.

Agreed. Not only that the steelers knocked off the the top three seeds in the AFC which IMO are all better than any NFC team. Pitt is gonna get a 10-14 point lead and then play ball control and eat the clock. Seattle is gonna have to abandon the run which wont be effective against pitt and porter, troy and company are gonna tee off on hasselback. It will be along day for the seahawk fans. 31-10 is my prediction but it wont be that close.
