Default We still have TWO first round picks, and this draft is going to be DEEP

Season is over, great season. Something we'll definately learn from, as we are going to get a new offensive cord.

Lets just hope whoever plays in the SB kills the Steelers

We'll be picking 22nd & 29th. Not a bad spot to be in at all.

I doubt he'd trade those picks in this draft, unless we really get a deal.

Doesn't the 29th slot depend on the Carolina-Seattle game? I'm assuming if Carolina wins, we're 29th. If Seattle wins, we're 30th.

I don't believe so. The draft position only changes for the two teams that make the Super Bowl, everyone else goes by record. Indianapolis is locked in at #30 as the team with the best record not to make the Super Bowl. The Broncos are the team with the 2nd best record not to make it, which puts them at 29th.

Seattle will draft 28th if they lose this game and I'm not sure where Carolina will be should they lose. But I'm pretty certain that the Broncos pick is now locked in at 29.

I would love to trade down in this draft, pick up a whole bunch of picks. This is a great draft. I would love for us to trade 29 down to 40 and pick up an extra 3rd and 4th.

Good catch. I forgot about Indy, but I swore Seattle was higher than us record-wise.

I think there are too many game breakers in the first round to trade down...

Package the two picks, move up in the draft, and pick the baddest DE in the draft.

Don't need CBs. We have enough young ones. Don't need LBs. None of them are old. O line is cool, hopefully Nalan comes back. Even if he doesn't you don't spend a first round pick on a center or guard. Don't need to waste a #1 on a RB, we've got good ones anyways. It wasn't Plummer's fault, so there is no need to go after a QB...unless Vince Young is there, which won't happen. Could use a WR, but I wouldn't use a first round pick on one...again Yep, it's gotta be a DE.

A pass rusher. A pass rusher. That is all I ask.

We're going to need it to replace the huge free agency losses we will suffer. If we have a good draft, we're still going to have a couple of tough seasons before the youngsters mature.

Sadly, this was the year to make our run. Our free-agency acquisitions were a great one year band-aid on a team that was hemmorhaging on defense. But Pryce, Warren, Brown and Lepsis are all free agents or have huge roster bonuses next year. If we keep two of four of them, we will be doing great. Nalen is likely retiring. And that leaves BIG holes that youngsters will not be ready to fill. So OL and DL are major problem areas next year.

Not only do we have the OL and DL problem, we have to build a WR corps, almost from the ground up. We have been living on capital on the OL for a while and it's just about spent. Fortunately, LB and defensive backfield look pretty good.

The draft may be deep. But I doubt it's deep enough to even begin to address all of these needs.

The good news is that the Broncs seem to be using the draft more effectively in the past couple of years to acquire early impact players than they have in the past. Hopefully, that will continue. Because you can't build a championship team today thru free agency.

So, you think those guys will be leaving? Sorry, chicken little, the sky is not falling and you are wrong. Pryce may be gone but the others are staying.

Broncs have 8-9 pick in the first four rounds - Get 2 DL and 5 offensinve players in that group to reinforce OL and the receiving corp and you have a damn good team.

I figure DT WR S TE are the positions we might choose from. I hope DE falls to us but, not expecting it.

Any DE who falls that low is not worth risking the pick. We should do what Colts did with Dwight Freeney did when he came out. You RREEEEAAACH for players like that and hope it would work out.
