Default Season Ticket Holder Super Bowl Ticket Lottery info...

For those who are interested...I fired off an email to the Broncos Ticket office for info on the Season Holder Super Bowl Ticket Lottery, and got this reply.

Quote:
Should the Broncos participate in Super Bowl XL, the Broncos will conduct a random drawing in which season ticket account holders will have an opportunity to purchase Super Bowl tickets.
The random drawing will be conducted at a time deemed appropriate by the National Football League and invoices serving as notification will be sent to those randomly selected. All season ticket account holders are automatically eligible for the drawing: separate notification is not required. As in years past, the drawing will be “weighted” so season ticket account holders with lower priority numbers will have a greater opportunity to be selected.

Those accounts not selected in the random drawing for Super bowl XXXII and XXXIII will be weighted so they receive a higher probability of being selected for Super Bowl XL tickets.

Those season ticket account holders randomly selected to purchase Super Bowl tickets will have an opportunity to purchase a maximum of 2 Super bowl tickets, as indicated on the Super bowl ticket notification invoice.

A limited time frame to pay for the tickets and instructions for ticket pick up will be included in the ticket notification invoice
I like my chances since we've had thes tickets in the family since 1965 so we have a low priority number, and I got skunked in the last 2 SBs.

I like my chances too. 4 pairs of tix w/ priority # as low as 6100, and I got skunked the last two times also.
But I'll wait until after we BEAT the Squeelers to worry about the SB!

I've read that before on the Broncos website. The thing I would like to know is just how many tickets do they offer to the season ticket holders. It's probably something like 500 to each team.

i think each SB team gets around 7500. Other teams get around 250 to 500 and each player in the NFL get 2 tickets. Season seats since 65 and got skunked last two times? Thanks for bursting my bubble! Ive had em for only 10 years and of course got skunked in the two superbowls. Maybe my charger seasons eats will come through. Only a few years priority though.

Is the 7500 for the season ticket holders alone or is it 7500 for the players, coaches, season ticket holders, etc.?

It is 7500 (or whatever that magic number is) that is allocated to the team. The team makes the determination of how many are passed down to the season ticket holders. So after Annabelle Bowlen's third-cousin-eight-times-removed's sister-in-law's neighbor's dentist's aunt is taken care of, I'm sure I'm next in line!

Well, I figure my chances suck but I'll take those chances vs. none which is what I"ve had every other time...

Oh sh*t they sent those out already Why couldn't they have mailed them out today so we could at least keep the dream alive until after tomorrow's game? Now I don't want to go out & check my mailbox.

...uhhhh I know I'll get that postcard but still it'd fun to fantasize.

Default Drats...

"not selected..."

I read these last posts and then went out to the mailbox. I had an "instant of glee" when I first saw what looked like the label to an envelope. I'm thinking - whooo hooo. Then the postcard slipped down showing itself to be just that and not a label. Then, without even turning it over I knew.

Oh well, now I can relax on how to afford and coordinate flying to Detroit.

See you all tomorrow..

Well there is still hope for my 14000 plus number as i havent received a postcard yet. Of course , I live in California and will be receiving my postcard in a few days. I just dont feel lucky. We get 15k tickets and i bet Bowlen keeps half of em for himself/staff/players/corporate etc.

What was i thinking - got the fing postcard today and what makes matters worse is if they keep the same lotto for next time, does that mean we are shut out again? SUCKS! Bowlen gives probably only half of his tixs to the fans. League should make more fans go as it is a bunch of polo wearing corporate yahoos that end up going.

Here's the other side of the story. I got selected for two SB tickets. I got the letter in the mail yesterday and it was the final kick in the teeth for the weekend. It doesn't feel any better getting a letter instead of a postcard. I got the postcards for 32 & 33. That was a once in a lifetime shot and it didn't even happen. Close but no cigar. I just had to laugh about it after the first five minutes of shock and despair wore off. Here's to next season!

I purposely didn't pick up my mail for 2 days before the game. Didn't want to be disappointed when (not if) I got the postcard. Sure enough, it was waiting for me when I got home Sunday. My plan worked! I didn't care that I got the postcard.

Broncocalijohn, if I remember correctly, for XXXII and XXXIII there were only 2000-2500 superbowl tickets that were made available for season ticket holders out of the 15K or whatever the number was that were allocated to the Broncos. It made for some nasty feelings between the season ticket holders and the Broncos organization.

Unfortunately, superbowls are not intended to be fan friendly. They should be called NFL Corporate Reward Day.

I believe you went to both SB games as I did and the fans sucked eggs! I dont like to be told to sit down after a great play. For fan fun, I will take the World Series or Championship game anyday of the week. NFL doesnt know what they are doing.
