Default The Server Has Been Upgraded...

We've doubled our RAM capacity from 512MB to 1GB. As you can see... It worked.

It seemed like this thing was offline for about an hour there ... it does seem faster, though.

We have a top end server now... If we go down, there's nothing more to upgrade to with this host...

Muri.

Anyway Taco, when you do have to do another host switch due to current host server limitations, this time, just shut down the board for two days. No more time reversals and no more BS about losing posts. I lost too many good posts in the last two host switches and, you know, I enjoy going back and reading my own brilliance and/or crapulence.

Good job TJ, how much did that set you back? (Or is it rude to ask)

I guess it didn't fix the clocks though

It's setting me back about $130 a month. I have to pay for it in six month increments. Basically, I dropped $800 today, and will have to have another $800 in six months to keep things up and running.

I've decided that *something* needs to be done to offset the server costs. If/when the Seniorita finds out about this, it'll be through the roof alice! I plan on implementing a support system once we get through the season. I had hoped that we'd have enough gas to make it through December, and maybe even into the offseason before we needed to upgrade, but when we have a Wednesday meltdown, it's just not possible. Something had to be done immediately, and I figured that given the feedback I've received from people, I could trust the community to help me out once I get the supporter system up and running. That will come later.

I'll likely have different rewards available for forum supporters. For instance, a yearly drawing for an authentic customized Jersey and maybe even a game ticket for the winner in the $50 dollar level... and on down to other gear at the second and third level. Just something to give thanks for supporting.

Additionally, forum supporters will be able to access a Broncos Fan Only Supporters Forum.

Also, as an aside, I'm working on a couple of other ideas toward the way of growth for the front page. It's difficult to keep momentum using just volunteers. People's lives are too busy to commit themselves without incentive. I want to figure out how to incentivize the staff properly so that we can keep up on things up there and grow the front end of this place into something truly useful. I've got some ideas, but I'd appreciate any others that people might have. I keep a notebook for brainstorming that I review often.

Well, we could hang Taco for no reason and sell his body parts but that would only carry the board for so long and we wouldn't our Fuherur...

We need to take it upon ourselves to help him out. 20 bucks from loyal subects every quarter or so from a couple hundred of us will help him.

I know for a fact that TJ is a humble, religious and good man that doesn't want charity except for others...

But this place isn't a hobby anymore...he's created a monster...hell this is the first time he's ever disclosed his derver cost.

Look, If we just put in a 20 and 500 of us do it, we can put this beast on it's feet.

That would be 2k and carry us thru the next year without any other baloney...bunch of moorons...

Did we give up then the Nazi's bombed Pearl harbor? who's with me AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRHHHHHHH....

Taco's right...we need to stand up and represent...

I demand a fund raiser. I'm asking, I'm pleading, I'm demanding all to send a token. I suggest a 20 to carry the slackers...The donate now is on the front page...This site is worth a 20 once in awhile. Right?
