Default Whoa, Let's Keep Focus

I hope the Bronco players and coaches are moving on to the next game. Judging by this board, the Broncs actually won something Saturday. They didn't win anything except the right to host a Title game.

The Title game is Sunday, not last Saturday. Seems to me this celebration is happening too early. Maybe I'm too much of an old-time hardass, but it's time to move on. You have to win another before you get a bye week. It's damn near Tuesday, let's move on and let the Steeler fans come in and start some crap talk.

Well I think being the 1st home playoff game in what? A decade? Beating the Champs when no one thought you could and hosting the AFC Championship game because of it might be reason to celebrate. No one's losing focus just enjoying the ride. Go take you midol.......

Default whoa yerself....

fans are allowed to freak out all week long.....we're not getting paid for this. Al Wilson pointed out after the game that he wanted to win last saturday for the fans more than anything else.

I wouldn't worry about Denver losing focus. The players, under shanahan, have always known it's THREE games they have to win, not one.

Not to mention we didn't have yesterday on the boards to revel in it. Give us a day. And, even though we are reveling....believe me, we ARE looking forward to the next game.

OK, one day. And that's it, period. I worry about you youngsters. You don't have the same work ethic as us that actually built this history.

See, this is what I'm talking about - it's seven years. Your head isn't in the game. I try and try and try to make sure people understand the importance of history, and somebody has to Beavis and Butthead it.

It's possible I could catch you in a foot race. And I'd give you a caning you wouldn't believe once I caught you.

The Broncos players and coaches need to keep their focus on the ultimate prize, and it starts with preparations for another win Sunday. Fans can be drunk all week and it won't affect the outcome at all...

Having that extra day of rest and not needing to travel is huge and will pay dividends in the second half when having to win 2 playoff games on the road AND hearing the roar of Invesco all night, and sucking in the vanishingly thin air will start taking a major toll on those big-bodied Steelers.

They will all be a step or two slower than our guys and the sacks of Rothlesbuger and long completions ASh & Rod mixed in with a pounding by Big Mike, Tatum and Dayne will kick in big time.

Its really hard to generate and maintain that kind of tension they went through yesterday in back to back to back home games. Its just to bad that Palmer was knocked out of the first game as he could have worn them out even worse.

The key for us is to stuff the run early AND stuff Big Ben early and often, even if we don't sack him, make him through the INT and dirt balls and knock him on his ass every other play. He tends to get hurt fairly easily when people really lay the wood on him So Warren, Pryce, Courtney, Lynch and Big Al should make tatooing him the number one priority.

If we have trouble running early up the middle we need to bounce it outsde and mix in a few pitches too to lossen up the box. And hit Ash Putz and Rod ovver the top three or four times in the first 20 minutes to put them back on their heals.

They barely beat San Diego at San Diego and we crushed SD at their house with much of our B team.
