That's true, however, there should have been a lot LESS than 15,000 seats available.

I've got an idea ... next time the Broncos host a playoff game - instead of selling "just in the Rocky Mountain Region," the Broncos should have a "lottery" like they do for SB tickets and offer extra pairs of tickets to season ticketholders who DID reserve their own seats for the game.

Season ticketholders are LESS inclined to sellout and trade a ticket for buck than anyone else. Those who were traitors should be ashamed ...

Why would a season ticket holder need extra seats? I already forked over close to a grand for my playoff seats. I sure as hell wouldnt want to buy more.

I dont want any extra tickets its too much of a hassle. Too much money on the table. Hell I even screwed up this year and forgot to pay for an extra ticket I needed for a couple weeks. (sorry 12th man!)

i agree it is a hassle: i forgot who owed me money for what, or i spent so much time on the bridge trying to sell a couple extra tix, that i missed out on tailgating.

There is no way to keep out opposing fans (and they shouldnt try) I like to make road trips to other cities to see our broncos too.

Great point 12th man...I try and see the Broncos whenever I can at home or on the road. The home crowd should just cheer for their team and that would take care of the problem.

Someone had a great suggestion regarding season ticket holders re-selling their game seats. Ultimately they paid their money so what they do with the tickets is their own business. However if the Broncos had a system set up on their website where those holders could act as direct brokers to other fans, it might discourage the whole e-bay scene a little. You'll never wipe it out entirely because some people just want or need the money but maybe it would help.

I will take credit for that season ticket holders selling to those on the waiting list. It would kind of be like you are waiting in line to get inside a bar but they still serve you drinks while you wait. Oh, and you might pay more for the same drink but prettier glass

I have season tickets and we bought six more for the Patriots game and then 4 more for the Pittsburgh game. We had a number of people who would like to go and occasionaly get to go with us during the season. The Patriots game I got lucky and got tickets on TicketMaster. For the Pittsburgh game I had to buy them off eBay. Everyone who went paid for them at what I paid (unfortunately the Pittsburgh game was a lot more).

So - as a season ticket holder I would LOVE to have some way to get extra tickets. Although - I don't necessarily think doing something like that would be fair. I should have first right to my own seats but giving season ticket holders first rights to unclaimed seats would just shut out people who don't buy season tickets. That hardly seams fair. So - while I would benefit from it I would still tend to be opposed to it in principle.
