Who's the #2 RB behind Reggie Bush in this draft. I have certainly seen a lot of White and he's the real deal but I have only seen glimpses of Williams. Which back goes higher?

I like White, but I saw Williams in his bowl game and he's the real deal as well.

Pre-combine Williams due to potential break away speed, but White is little larger and would have no problem being that 30 carry back that coaches love.

I think when it's said and done White will be the 2nd back taken. That doesn't mean that DeAngelo isn't a helluva back in his own right... it just means that White's size to speed ratio is eye opening good. If the dude runs in the 4.4's he'll be a top 10 pick and could very easily go to GB at 5.

Deangelo Williams is the better player if you ask me, and a team that takes White over him will likely regret it down the road. I can see where a team would do that though, big powerful runners get teams fixated on them. Williams is faster, more field aware, and has better hands. Both should be great at the pro level and individual success depends on the teams they play for and how they're utilized, but I think Williams is a more versatile, more talented, RB.

I'd like LenDale, but I'd love DeAngelo!!!
The guy's just uber-productive, and he can get it done in a variety of ways. I would say he's a better all around back than White. |

It depends on how slow White is. Is he going to be a Ron Dayne or Alstott or be a Jerome Bettis? I think that is his biggest hurdle (just a big slow RB to get the tough yards or something better). But I'd give the edge to Deangelo.

Honestly, I don't know how you compare white to Dayne Alstott or Bettis. All 3 of these guys were "power" guys, where as White is a balance of speed and power.

I'd compare White to Chris Brown, currently playing for the Titans, Eddie George, or Larry Johnson. Big and powerful with enough speed to get the job done at the NFL level.
Thing is, those guys depend on a good line and good offensive schemes. Great RBs, guys worthy of that top 5 pick, don't. Reggie Bush is that type of player. DeAngelo Williams is, in my opinion, that type of player. |

When i was watching USCvTexas i thought to myself i would be happy if we took Lendale with one of our first 2 picks, but he looks out of our reach now and i feel that unless we are getting somebody like him or Bush (wont happen) then i wouldn't want a first day pick used on a RB.
I also don't like all these mocks having us taking a TE no matter how talented they are...i want to give Duke a chance. |

Again, you guys are pinning the future on a guy who has never played the position before, was active for 3-4 games this year and caught, I think, 2 passes. I would love to see Duke make it but you can't bet the future on an unproven commodity. Winthin reason, Broncs can upgrade any position on the team. What do you think Broncs do if they have a LB rated number 8 on their board that falls to 1B? Of course you take him, unless you have an equal rated player at a need position sitting there. Broncs have two good TE and two with potential, but if you have a chance to grab a future superstar, you make that move. A personnel guy can't be sentemental.

Big guy
I disagree that you always go BPA in the early rounds, you look potential areas of upgrade and target them in the early rounds. Shanahan seem to put together a single integrated priority list. Later you focus on BPA. Right now TE is not place that needs an upgrade, the area of focus are are the defense line, wide receiver, safeties, interior offensive line. Between Jed, Alexander, Jackson, Duke there is good current production and potential very good future production. |

I agree, in my opinion the best case scenario would be for the broncs to come out of the draft with two DL, two WR and at two OL who could contribute, plus some depth at a couple of other positions. |

Yeah we lost that game, it was like Chatfield 49 Dakota Ridge 28
That guy just ran over me up the middle... they put me in a free safety, and he brok through the line, straight at me. He hit me, and I wrapped up around his chest, and he fell foward for like three additional yards. Knocked the wind out of me. The other two I had help, not that one. |
