Anything reported on PFT is hardley a done deal. But I wouldn't be surprised if they got one right.

Huh... The same source that had Shanahan firing Coyer in September?

Lots of things seem to make Koobs a natural fit there, with his roots being in Texas and mentoring a young qb.

What scares me more then him going is that he will have to form a staff and he may take more coaches with him. Turner, Dennison, and others may jump ship with him.

On a sour note, from CNN's rumor roundup, http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/200...fl/index.html#:

"We don't know yet if the Texans will use the top pick in the draft on Vince Young or Reggie Bush, but we do know that Gary Kubiak, Broncos offensive coordinator, will play a big role in that decision. After the Broncos lose, Kubiak will be hired as Dom Capers' replacement."

One will go, prolly. Though it won't be Dennison. I wonder more who he'll get as an oline coach. And, I wonder about his defense.

it'd have to all be a promotion for them to leave us and go to Houston, they wouldn't leave for the same job

and someone on our staff will be the new OC if Kubes leaves Turner is probably a good candidate

The thing I wonder about Turner is whether or not he is a good Xs and Os guy. Teaching techniques and fundamentals and calling/designing plays are seperate beasts. Being top notch at the former does mean that one will be good at the latter. Considering that he hasn't been promoted despite a long record of success as a position coach makes me wonder if this might not be the case.

Write this down and put it in your pocket:

Troy Calhoun is the next the OC of the Denver Broncos.

Have a good day.

That's funny BS. Name one Coach who has been on staff for more than three years outside of the Coordinators and Bobby Turner? Ding! Answer: None

Upgrades are always welcome. BTW, Dennison was the ST's coach three years ago so I should have counted that too.

I think it was more of a poor choice of words rather than a prediction. It would have been just as outlandish to say after they win the Super Bowl the Texans will announce the hiring of Kubiak.

That is a load of horse ****.

We got new blood this offseason in case you failed to notice, besides why should you get new blood when the old blood is working just fine? Don't fix something that isn't broke.
