Default The RESURRECTION- 1/14/05 !!!

Sitting on the sidelines of the NFL elite the last 7 yrs has been painful to say the least. Seeing the New England Patriots run the guantlet to win 3 of the last 4 tourneys has been incredible to watch. All those games wondering if Denver, if Shanny, if Bowlen, if "WE", would ever get a chance to be on the same level again like we used to be. And now here it is, 1/14/06, it almost seems like a gift for all the pain and punishment we have went through since the super bowls. We all remember those Indy beatdowns, how we wish we could have gotten the colts in our house!!!

Having been at 6 of the Donkeys "affectionate term" 8 home games this year, and 6 in the last 3 years, I can tell you that the Winery "Invesco" has a whole different feel this year. Something has stirred the blue collar types back into the place, less corporate, more orange crushers! THE WAY IT SHOULD BE! Nothing against the white collars, but if you don't want to cheer then go get a club seat or go watch the game at the martini bar!

The monday night game against Kansas City was simply MAGICAL!!! It felt like the Old Girl! You could sit in your seat and feel the place rocking! It was truly Invesco field @ Mile High for the first time that night, and everyone there knew it! The squiefs had no chance and they knew it, they felt the THUNDER from The ROCKY MOUNTAINS!!! They knew they had no chance! They felt the HEAT, they were overwhelmed!

Hell, even the Raider game this year was special. Not the game, that was a beat down, but the crowd was soooo into it, cheering for everyplay, hoping we could shut out the faid and hang a goose egg on Big Al! The wave was in full effect and the barrellman was at the controls! It was a meaningless game on christmas eve and the Broncos Fans represented! Out in full throng and throat to beat down the scum raiders!!!

The point is Mile High Magic has been dead and buried since 98! It will live forever in our hearts, but on Saturday "WE" the Broncos Faithful, those of us who bleed orange and blue, who get excited about a fifth round draft pick, who take Darryl Gardner, Eddie Kennison, and Dale Carter personally, those of us who thought of Greely as our graceland.... you get the point. WE have a truly special opportunity, a gift, the chance to stand together and be heard as one! 76125 full united in one goal, to bring the spirit and goose bumps back! To make the visitors feel marooned on an enemy island, to make them shrink and turn tail and run!

Pat Bowlen knew it was a gamble, he knew the new place wouldn't rock like the old girl. Well somewhere up there in Stadium Heaven she will be smiling down on Saturday night at 6:05 mountain standard time! Its gonna be a zoo, its gonna be SPECIAL!!!

If you are going to the game to sit and watch, then STAY HOME! IF YOU WANT TO SIT DOWN, THEN SIT ON YOUR COUCH! If you are fortunate enough to attend, then the gift is yours and use it wisely!

BRING THE PAIN, THE NOISE, THE THUNDER, THE PASSION, TRUST ME, IT MEANS EVERYTHING THIS TIME OF YEAR!!! IF YOU STILL HAVE A VOICE AFTER ATTENDING YOU HAVE FAILED YOUR TEAM AND YOURSELF!

I cannot overstate it, if the last 8 years have shown us anything it is that the NFL is one tough SOB. We may never get an opportunity again like this, to take on an NFL dynasty, in our house, on our terms! in January under the lights! Do not take this game for Granted, it could be once in a lifetime!

The groundswell is underway, the movement has begun! All week the faithful will pray, they will hope, they will cheer and they will WIN! There will be no shame in losing to the PATRIOTS if they beat us, but there will be shame if we fail to RESURRECT the MILE HIGH MAGIC!

THE TIME IS NOW BRONCOS FANS TO STAND AND CHEER LIKE THERE IS NO TOMMOROW! I WILL BE IN ATTENDANCE ON SATURDAY! I WILL REPRESENT, I WILL LOSE MY VOICE, I WILL HAVE A HEADACHE, I WILL, WILL YOU??

I appreciate the nod, but I'll probably be too busy preparing some bean dip or something.

No doubt. I just slammed my head into the wall I was so fired up.

On The Herd on ESPN radio Cowherd was talking up this game really big, saying it's going to be the best game of the year in the NFL. He said Denver fans are crazy and the place will totally be rockin'. I'm sure he's right! Wish I could go.
