I'ev been growing a beard myself, just for luck. So far it's working. I just rue the day I finally shave, hopefully in February. I resemble Festus.

Assuming waffle ever got a "date," I don't think he'd be looking in Ben's facial hair all that much, so I don't see that "beard" as an issue for him.
