Combine that with departures of possibly Green, Roaf, Shields, Priest and GOONTHER and the Chiefs are starting over from scratch again... I love it. Thats like giving a cat a dead mouse to bat around. I love it. AND it couldn't happen to a better organization.
FORmeal is gone next year which also means KC's December home streak as well... almost guranteed we will be playing there in December and we will be winning. KC = Oakland of 2003. Close to the great collapse... Chief fans can look at Oakland and feel like they are looking in the mirror. I love it. |

I for one would hate to see the crying biatch leave. I mean, you couldn't ask for a better coach to pick on, ESPECIALLY when he is the coach of your most hated rival.
It was just too good to be true. Their coach cried every single week. |

"FLUSH!" Yet another turd season down the crapper in kc. Changing players, coaches hasn't helped the 36 year long drought in Mulletville USA.

Herm Edwards is the hot rumor, along with Mrs. Doubtfire aka Mike Martz.

that would be a big sacrifice indeed. But family is #1 as it should be. If my son(if i had one) killed himself, i definitely would attach myself at the others sides to make sure that it didnt happen again. |

Agreed. Contrary to popular belief the NFL is just entertainment and to sell F-150s and beer, not life.

I've been hearing a lot of Pete Carrol rumors. I've also heard Stoops mentioned a couple times. I don't think either get the job though. Any NFL team that wants either of those cats is going to have to give up total control. Don't think King Karl will do that.

So long as the tradition of zero accountability within the organization continues, I don't care if that sniveling b**** stays on as their head coach or not.

Shields is a big loss. He's a quality guy, great player, never injured, and he'll be missed. Replacing him will be near impossible, hopefully we can get a quality starter somewhere. Seeing what Johnson can do losing Priest is not a loss on the football field. We'll miss him the same way you guys missed TD, he's been Chiefs football for years now, but LJ can more than carry the torch. Roaf and Green have both stated they want to come back.I think they will depending on who the next HC will be. Unless the next HC wants to completely gut the team (which would be stupid) our entire offense minus Holmes and Shields will be back. I can't see us falling out of the top 10 in offense based on the loss of one offensive lineman, no matter how good he is. Our production has gone UP with LJ running the ball. The big problem will be defense. Our talent has been misused and we aren't seeing the level of production we should out of them. This is a young defense and the next DC MUST continue to add talent and find a better way to use the foundation (Surtain, D. Johnson, J. Allen, etc) that is in place. Quote:

I agree, the Chiefs are in trouble. Their offensive players are getting up there in age and the stop-gap attempts on defense are not the long-term fix they need to return to prominence. They'll be 9-7 next year.

As long as the Chiefs have Carl Peterson it doesn't matter who they hire as a coach.
Whomever he hires it will be someone he is able to push around. God love Carl Peterson! |

reputation. ---Laughable? Hardly. How did the Raiders go from AT THE SUPER BOWL to the worst team on record in this short a period of time? Did ALL the players suddenly go bad? Chiefs make the wrong moves in the off season and it will show quickly. Last edited by Odysseus; 12-25-2005 at 08:49 AM.. |

We've lost Hasty, DT, and Neil Smith and have yet to add game-changing players to replace them. You can't be a leader if you aren't also productive. DJ could be that player for us. Lord knows he's got the talent, but he's not going to be a guy everyone respects until he gets a probowl or two under his belt... |
