First off, I wanted to start off with Marshawn Lynch and DeSean Jackson of the California Bears. Both are on their way to becoming first round draft picks. Lynch might be the second best returning running back in 2006 after Adrian Peterson. He's the ideal north-south runner with outstanding quickness and he's very powerful.
DeSean Jackson is the best true freshman receiver in my eyes. All night, he was making highlight reel plays against BYU with his explosive speed and quickness. I think he has surpassed Derrick Williams, Patrick Turner and Fred Rouse as the finest wideout of the 2005 class. Next year is going to be a fun year of WRs with Dwayne Jarrett, Calvin Johnson and Ted Ginn (hopefully he can settle into that role finally). Others: Bruce Gradkowski: He made some questionable throws against UTEP, but impressed me with his mobility and leadership. MAC quarterbacks are more attractive than ever. I would take him in the 5th or 6th round. Kevis Coley: The C-USA Defensive Player of the Year is undersized like his former teammate Michael Boley (having a solid rookie year with Atlanta) but he has no problem withstanding his ground and laying the wood. Second day guy to watch for. Todd Watkins: Has decent size and catches everything thrown his way. A another second day guy. David Anderson: He's going to have to fight his way onto a NFL roster as a longshot, but you can't help but root for the guy even if you are a CU fan ![]() |

DeAngelo Williams impressed me in the Motor City Bowl. He had 243 yards and 3 TDs. He's a projected mid-1st rounder. He was projected top 5 earlier. I hope he falls in Denver's lap. Not a need, but best player available. He seems to be a good character guy like Rod and TD. He also has the NCAA all purpose yards record.

What about that AKRON QB. I don't even know what year he is, but in the 2nd half, he made some pretty darn good throws, showed good ellusiveness, has decent size, arm strength and threw for well over 400 YARDS yesterday...

Luke Getsy, he's only a junior. You're right, you can't go wrong with a MAC quarterback these days. |

Deangelo will be the 2nd back taken. Marshawn Lynch will have a huge year next year, IMO.
