Conjecture: Favre in silver and black next season? - The Orange Mane

I'm wondering if the Raiders won't try to woo Favre with a short-term, high-$$$ deal in the offseason. He's still got the arm, Oakland's got the talent at WR, and it would fit perfectly with Al's master plan of recycling once-great players (that only ever works for Denver). Might be pretty attractive to Brett too...make some scratch, play for an owner that wants to win, and possbily erase this abortion of a season from everyone's memory.

Thoughts?

EDIT: What does Favre's contract look like, I wonder

Favre has already said he wants nothing to do with any other team... I can only assume that also includes that rabble of misfits by the bay.

He is an icon in GB. Why leave?

Besides, if he has game next year - and there is no reason to figure he won't - then why would GB wanna let him go.

The faid might want Favre (or any competent QB, for that matter), but what is the upside for Brett?

All good points, I just keep remembering the comments he made about the organization not wanting to win a championship. You could see him cringing at the thought of not going all-out to win every single season. He is a proud SOB, and I know I wouldn't want to retire after a season like this. With GB, there's no reason to believe that next season will be any better.

I'd be very surprised to see Favre in a faiduh uni. I don't think that'll happen.

On the one hand, Favre was addicted to pain killers... But on the other hand, he's never been convicted of a felony, as far as I know.

I suppose it's 50/50.

It'll never happen, but would be perhaps the funniest sad moment in modern football. Worse than Smith to Arizona.

Going from one losing team to another. No upside for Brett. Besides Brett isn't a felon so he wouldn't fit in with the scum by the bay.

Favre isn't going anywhere except into retirement and the Hall of Fame in 5 years.
