Default Sd Tailgate Check List/info

Ok I just spoke with CBF1 and we thought it made sense to start a new thread to organize the tailgate in SD.

The tailgate is in LOT D5. See map via the link. Maybe somebody with more skills than myself could post the map in another post. http://www.chargers.com/stadium/parking.cfm

This is where BroncoCaliJohn is setting up his tailgate. As I mentioned some of you pre-paid for grub and beer when you bought a tix from him so it makes sense to grow the tailgate from there.

We had some offers from people to bring some stuff but I want to make sure we have what we need and don't duplicate a bunch of things we don't.

This is a first come first serve parking lot that opens at 6:00am and being that we are setting up on the outskirts of the stadium this will be one of the last lots to fill up so everyone driving in will be able to park here if that is what you want to do. I plan on being there at 6:00am to get things going.

Basically the needs are:

1) A couple tables
2) A good sized BBQ
3) A couple ez up tents (if it rains)
4) Food/Beer
5) Coolers/ice

As I mentioned I'm pretty sure Mile High Jester is taking his bus down. If so he'll have some of this stuff. I'll find out Saturday. I'll see if he can take my EZ ups with him to SD. I'll definetly bring a couple flags, beer, food for the grill.

So if you can bring any of these things please respond.

I am bringing a case of coors light, a bottle of 18 year old scotch a large tri tip (hopefully someone is bringing a BarBQ and some chips and such. I also will be bringing some mile high/bronco cups.... yes from the stadium for us to drink from since we are going to be at Mile High West.

If anyone wants to talk in detail about the parking area or anything else feel free to call me on my cell at 805-732-7069. I will also be there by 6:00 to get things rolling.

No Jester & No Disco eh?

Ah well, the tailgate looks easy enough to get to, although 6 AM may be a little tough to swing, we'll see.

Looking forward to it guys...one more week!

Appreciate that but we're flying in. If I was taking the bus I'd have everything we need.

I'm thinking a few ez ups are going to be critical as MP said the forecast might call for rain. Worse case scenario I can pack some tarps if we can't get any ezups.

Somehow we need to get a barbq down to the lot. There is no way my gas Q will fit in my car, I might be able to get the webber in there if I use a cutting torch. I will work on it this week.

I will bring both food and beer. There is a fabulous, high quality meat market about a mile away from the stadium.

If you have any questions regarding things to do in San Diego, give me a call anytime at (760) EAT-****.

GO BRONCOS!

I called a party rental place. They have 15x15 tents for rent 100bucks. They have ezups for 80 bucks but thats a rip off if you ask me. They also have a four foot charcoal grill for rent for 30 bucks (not bad). 10 minutes to the stadium. Only problem is they can't deliver until 9:00am. That won't work.

http://www.abcpartyrental.com

I'd rather sit thru snow and cold then be pissed on with rain like we did last year in SD.

Forecast call for 30% rain. I have a call into my girlfriends cousin who might have some stuff we could borrow but then we get down to logistics of having to get across town to pick stuff up and drop off. Not easy without a car.

I might have to pack my hibachi grill in a duffle bag! I can cook alot of grub on it...lol

Or we could do what the Bills fan do. Pile up wood right on the ground! Somehow I don't think this would fly in SD.

Okay, The webber grill will fit, just need to take the legs off and assemble it again at the stadium... no problem. I will pick up some charchol and bring some cooking utensils as well as some paper plates, silverware, paper towls and napkins. Jello shots will be made, I will have a tri tip also.

others will need to bring what they want to barbq. I am also going to get a couple of the stryofoam coolers to hold beer and such. Please bring some ice as we can never have too much of that. As far as the canopy's go if anyone has 1 or 2 please bring them.

Right on CBF1. I'll be rolling in with Ak so we can pack a cooler also. Extra ice is definetly a good call. We'll bring a couple extra bags. I think we still need a table. Atleast an 8 footer is good. We can make due with smaller if we have to.

Being Coors challenged, I might have to bring in a case of Bud Light......I'm not really worried about the rain as of yet.....40% is still on the far end and there's still a few days to go that could alter the forecast some.

Right on bro. I'm going to be out of the loop for a couple days as I'm going to give BroncofanNZ a tour of breckenridge for a couple days. We'll be back around thursday. Sounds like we are dialed in now........

I used to live in Westlake Village... Just kept the same cell number.

What size barbq are you bringing? If it large enough I will leave mine at home. gas or charchol? Heck just give me a call and we can go over everything.
