Default Newb here, is this place as lame as Broncomania?

One of the mods at Broncomania deleted a well-written post of mine because it suggested that Denver had at least a 50% chance of losing to all but 2 of the teams in the AFC playoff picture.

Is this place as pathetic as Broncomania or are you actually allowed to have an opinion over here?

Looks nice BTW.

No, we have some smug bastards here, and they are still allowed to post. So fire away.

Default Welcome to the Mane

As long as you keep it clean and aren't ridiculously abusive towards other posters you'll be fine. There are lots of diverse opinions here, but Taco and the mods are pretty even handed.

Just watch out for the Trolls and the occasional flame coming your way if someone disagrees with you.

BTW, I hope and think you're wrong about the Broncs chances. What's your reasoning?

great attitude. a problem with message boards is you never get the full feel of what somebody is trying to express because 90 percent of what we communicate is non-verbal, and in this post you come off witha strong sense of arrogance.

i left the broncoboard a long time ago, havent looked back since, and from what i've noticed dissenting opinions are welcome, as long as you dont present yourself a jackass in doing so.

Opinions are encouraged here, but don't bring that Bronco_Mtnman St. Jake $hit over here. That guy is a total douche bag! Can you even call someone a douche bag over at Broncomania?

I think Denver is just one big fish in a sea of other really big fish in the AFC playoff picture.

The Colts match up great vs. Denver. 1) The fast track works to Indy's advantage, 2) the game would be played on the road if they meet in the playoffs and Denver isn't (and hasn't been) a road team for some time, and 3) Denver can't get to Manning like SD did yesterday, which is what you need to beat slow their offense and beat them. SD got pressure from the interior and collapsed the pocket, but Denver can't do it because they imported run stuffers from Cleveland who wouldn't know a sack if they were kicked in theirs.

As for the 2 teams I think Denver has a better than a 50% shot at beating, those would be Pittsburgh and Jacksonville. I think DEN can shut PIT's running game down and force Big Ben to have to win the game, which I like Denver's chances of handling, especially at Mile High. I saw PIT's rushing game get shut down a few times this year against strong run D's and was actually in Baltimore and saw first-hand Willie Parker become a ghost vs. the Ravens. Jacksonville is trotting Gerrard out there and he's a joke, DEN should do them in fairly easily.

The rest of the playoff field has a bunch of dangerous teams that can beat Denver, home or away, IMO. I could expand on those teams if you like.

really good post. Any team in the AFC playoffs can beat any other, WC's included. Colts are beatable, even on the fast track. We match up with them fairly well, also, so if we do meet them, i hope at least for the third time, its a game.

I always love it when people roll into a forum and with their first post they muddy the place up. Maybe I'm just old fashion like that but I always take my shoes off when I enter someone's clean house.

Not that I remember. He was a big time Shanahan/Champ basher who only seemed to show up after a Bronco loss (he and trolluride were peas in a pod). He claimed he was a Bronco fan but that could have very well been a crock.

Actually, the scenario I like that is most likely to happen is for NE to play and beat the Colts, then we play the Patsies at home and beat them. NE has had the Colts number for several years and are one of the few teams in the playoffs who I see as able to beat Manning & crew. By the same token, we stand a good chance of beating the Brady bunch especially since it would then be on our turf.

The only real problem I see is the Pats ..... Like the Colts , we have problems with a 3-4 ....... we have to knock out Chargers , if not they could be another upset team running around .........
then the Steelers , Bengals , Bengals will go futher , but they are a young team ....

we just post here cause we're kinda lame too.

just kidding. welcome to the board.
i was referred here from the "official" site, and i havent
gone back there much since.

the knowledge, info, and people on this site are top notch.

i think of most of them more as family than people on a message board.

stick around awhile and im sure you'll see what i mean.

I can't help but thinking that the Bengals team isnt that good. They are very talented on O and very young but if that team doesn't cause turnoevers then teams can beat them. They give up 112 yards per game on the ground and 212 yards per game over the air. As I said before they are young. Their coach isn't like the other coaches that have been in the playoffs like many of the other ones. JMO.

May I quote you? The "assbag" that I'm refering to is one negative SOB. It might be the same guy, but his relentless bashing attention has turned from Shanny and Champ towards Plummer. I think he is a closet SOBob fan like Taco was...except Taco wasn't in the closet about it. He calls anyone who defends JP a St. Jake warshipper. I find it unbearable to even lurk over there...

If I honestly rated Plummer performance this year it would be an A- or B+ (Manning and Palmer would be ranked higher). This douche wouldn't even give him an incomplete.
