Default Chargers @ Colts...and early games

I'm in a bit of dilema over who to route for tonight.

On the one hand if the Chargers lose, it's likely that their final game against us will be meaningless, giving Denver an increased chance of victory, thus securing the no.2 seed.

On the other hand, I frigging hate the Colts, and I really don't want them to go unbeaten.

Of course, the really cool outcome would be for Denver to end their unbeaten run in the playoffs, but I'm still not confident Denver is the team to do that. Especially without Williams

If we are going to the Super Bowl someone will have to beat Indy in the playoffs. By securing the #2 seed, we can put off playing Indy the longest and give them more chance of being beaten before we have to play them. If we do play them, as I expect we will, I would like it to be for the AFC championship. I will root for them today as it increases our chances of the #2 seed. I don't care about them going undefeated - I want us in the Super Bowl. There would be a lot of pressure on them if they remain undefeated. I think that could help us plus we should be highly motivated by the last two years results.

But, I still hate the bastards!

I wish there was a way for both of them to lose.

If the Colts win it's business as usual.
If the Colts lose it's business as usual.
If the Colts get into the playoffs and then get blasted. Be happy.
If the Colts face the Broncos the Colts loose try not to burn down Denver.
If the Colts go undefeated then pray Nick Bonicotti lives to be 100.

This kind of game will show what kind of team San Diego has. Just like Bronco's in the first half we came back from a heart breaking loss against the Giants, and won the following game against the Eagles.

This game we won against the Eagles to me was a defining momment for the Broncos, in that this team is special.

As much as I hate the colts I also hate the dolphins, I wouldn't mind seeing them lose their exclusive lock on an undefeated season. What would be ideal, and I think probable, is for the colts to go undefeated and then lose in the playoffs. Then it would be like a kissing your sister type of thing. I also am not convinced we will even see the colts in the afc championship game, I really do believe that them having everything locked up so early will do them a disservice and I think they will lose their edge just enough to make them vulnerable in the divisional round.

Well , i like the idear of letting win Indy that game, because then we locked the afc west, earn at least the #3 spot and will finally met the colts in the afc championship game at the earliest. let the pats do the dirty job of beating indy in indy.

I have no problem going for the little ponies in this game. A win clinches the division for the Broncos and pretty much knocks the chargers out of contention for the playoffs. I also want the colts to finish the season undefeated. Let everyone keep talking about them. The pressure has got to be building and the feeling of invincibility getting stronger. I'd rather fly under the radar.

GO COLTS!!!!!!!!!
peyton will light up that sd secondary and then the colts will go undefeated...16-0, and then lose to us in the AFC championship when we spoile their perfect season. then we will beat the seahawks in super bowl xl. whatever, i would love to clinch the division in week 15, and then the charger "fans" would havre to shut up, because their team is going no where. and the colts losing doesn't help us at all. remember what game we lost in'98? the 14th game. and we won the super bowl that year. if the colts go 16-0, there is NO CHANCE that they win the super bowl. no team will go 19-0, but if they lose here, then they will refocus like we did and easily win the super bowl.

I'm pulling for the Colt's here. The Chargers lose and the division is ours and on top of that I think I'm going to include the colts in a small parlay with the Bengals and 69ers

I have to say it doesn't matter if the Chargers win or not. We one one of the last two and we still win the division. Cincy is the team we should be rooting for to lose. Very unlikey that they will blow the game against the hapless Lions. Plus, I hate the freakin' Colts so it would be nice to see them lose one.

The way Denver has been playing the past 2 weeks, It does not matter if Indy has a loss or 3, we will not beat them with the kind of effort displayed vs Buffalo or KC. I would worry most about making it as the #2 seed and getting a week off and well as a HOME game in rd2.

With that said... GO COLTS!

Great call.....ph*** the phins.

I kind of like the Colts when they're not beating the Broncos.....and when Eli's brother doesn't waltz around the line of scrimmage for 25 seconds before every play. Dungy has shown he can coach a team to the playoffs.....but he's got a touch of the Shottenheimer flu when it comes to delivering the AFC championship.

I disagree. A consistent bull rush like Denver has will move Manning out of the pocket.....and force him to throw on the run.

Just think of how much hype the espn machine will throw out as the colts continue to win. You will think that they are the only team in the afc and thats fine by me. Just like in the preseason when every commentator couldnt give a crap about the broncos. Lets keep on workin and get ready for the playoff push while chris berman and company work on a throne for peyton manning and company. We can use that throne for kindling when we have our playoff bonfire celebration.

This is almost a win-win situation...the Colts win...we win the AFCW the Colts lose and we get don't get to hear about the "undefeated" Colts anymore...

Just play the game!
