Default Every Damn Year

every damn year heading into the playoffs we are banged up at cornerback and this year is no different... if we get to the afc championship @ Indy then expect to see the same results as the last 2yrs.. you CAN'T beat Indy w/ banged up cornerbacks... Paid-A-Ton will eat our secondary alive... you really think Paymah, Cox, or Alexander can cover Reggie Wayne... doubt it.. I doubt Foxy could cover him all day long.. paging Willie Middlebrooks... anyone know if Willie is healthy?.. if I remember correctly he had a groin injury when SF released him..

all it takes is 1 injured CB to let Paid-A-ton have his way w/ our secondary... if you don't think so take a look at the past 2yrs playoff games.. sky hasn't fallen all the way, but the air has been let out of the ballon... Denver needs to sign a CB that can come in and play now... groin injuries can take a LONG time to heal... and even if dwill gets healthy before a potential showdown w/ Indy he is likely to be rusty and easily exposed... and he will not be 100% anytime this season..

broncos have 3 games left. dwill wont play. plus one bye week. that is one month where he wont play. we do not need to sign yet another cb messing up chemistry. balloon is inflated, the sky is not falling. at this point in the year, no player in the NFL is 100%

I like Sam but he can't hang w/ Indy's 3rd or 4th wideout and he would be better suited to be covering Clark.

Willie could come in and play right away.. and I don't think he would mess up any chemistry... he knows most of the players here and when healthy he can be an effective 3rd or 4th CB... when playing Manning you could always use an extra DB, not Paymah, Cox, or Alexander.. even when dwill comes back I seriously doubt he will be even close to 100%.. I know almost no one in the NFL is 100% at this point but you better be damn close when you go to Indy... god I hate Indy..

Maybe Denver should line up Darius Watts back there. See what he can do.

sorry...we may not even see the colts in the playoffs, so you worrying about it is pointless.

Why do you think shanny drafted 3 CB's? Everyone blasted him at the time but obviously he knows more about the team than the fans and knew the only CB that was on the roster was bailey.

yeah well looks like Cincy could put a dent in our AFC championship game.. and if you think you are going to be able to beat Cincy w/ rookie DB's then you are dilusional... Cincy has a great O-line and no pressure from our front 4 and Palmer will eat us up much like Manning

I take it you're not planning on the Broncos going to the SB.

Dwill is only out 2 weeks. We have Buffalo now to worry about. One game at a time. We might not even see manning and co. this year. To early to worry about this kind of stuff. We will be fine.

Course i am planning on them going to the superbowl. I am not floored by the "almighty" colts. I also think the colts will get a rude shock when they get beat at home in the divisional round.

Denver cant worry about that until if they were to meet the Colts in the playoffs.

One step at a time, lets see if we can clinch a playoff spot for now.

I'm a diehard Broncos fan, have been for over 28yrs.. I just don't live in fantasy land and I can see a big weakness in our team and I don't live in a fantasy land where I wake up everyday and think the Broncos can beat the Colts... on any given day they could win... but realistically they won't and if they do I will gladly eat crow for the next 5yrs..

We should never have let Deltha O'neal get away. He's leading the league in picks and a hell of a lot better than any of our corners.

has nothing to do with me being a Broncos fan. Colts have the weakest schedule on the face of the earth, the only 2 teams that challenged the colts were the bengals and the jaguars in their first meeting. The bengals ran for nearly 200 yards on Indianapolis, meaning it can be done. We run the football pretty well, If manning cant see the field, cant expose what you obviously feel is a talentless secondary.

not talentless secondary.. just a lot less talented than Manning... you don't think he knows that is our achilles heal.. and he will expose it just like last year... all he is going to do is pick on the rookies.. and chances are they will get exposed as rookies.. now if we can keep him off the field and win the TOP battle then yes we have a chance to beat them.. I just don't think we can win that battle w/ the secondary we have.. I pray they prove me wrong but until then I give Indy all the respect in the world.. doesn't mean I like them, in fact I HATE them.. especially Manning... I hate the Colts more than the Chiefs.. I'd rather get knocked out of the playoffs by the chiefs than the damn colts.

Deltha has 3 games this season with multiple picks. He still gambles too much, gets beat on multiple moves and cant tackle. Rather stick with what we have, thanks.

We can play the stop the run game if you so desire. Ask Pitt if you don't believe me. We can also play the shootout game. Just ask Cincy. Oh, nevermind.

I would say if we get to the afc championship game, that paymah, foxworth and williams will no longer be considered rookies. To beat the colts will take an entire team effort, it was not on our secondary alone we lost to Indy the last 2 seasons. It wont be the secondary alone that beats the colts, either.
