Week 14 Power Rankings
Filed under: Giants 101— Jason Lucca @ 1:32 am

(#) last week ranking
POWER RANKINGS:

1 Indianapolis Colts(1)- Defense did well except last drive, Manning and company are just too much for any team.

2 Seattle Seahawks(3)- Blew out another team for the second consecutive week but to a non-playoff contender.

3 Cincinnati Bengals(4)- When Palmer does not do well, Johnson comes up big to carry
the team to a win.

4 Denver Broncos(6)- Good defense, but barely won that game against the Ravens, running game needs to improve.

5 Jacksonville Jaguars(2)- late drive was not enough to even try to beat the Colts, with Leftwich back in the depth chart, Jags should start dominating.

6 Chicago Bears(5)- Offense still needs to improve if they want to do well in the playoffs.

7 New York Giants(8)- Three INT by Manning is not good, at least Feely saved the
Giants for once.

8 Tampa Bay Buccaneers(11)- Huge win for the Bucs managing to have a two way tie with the Panthers in the division, the real test is against the Pats.

9 Carolina Panthers(7)- No running game, hurt the teams chances of winning and keeping the divisional lead.

10 Dallas Cowboys(12)- Bledsoe threw well, but defense needs to stop the rushing if they want to make the playoffs.

11 Pittsburgh Steelers(13)- A much needed win keeps the team in the playoff race. The bus has shown signs that he can still do well.

12 Atlanta Falcons(14)- A much needed win keeps the Falcons alive in the playoff hunt.

13 Minnesota Vikings(15)- Late surge continues with Brad Johnson (6-0) might as well trade Daunte.

14 New England Patriots(16)- Showing like they are a Superbowl team again, but is Brady okay down the stretch with that injury?

15 San Diego Chargers(9)- A loss to the lowly Dolphins hurt the teams chances of a playoff spot.

16 Kansas City Chiefs(10)- Playoff hopes dashed, Johnson had a great running game,
need to beat the Giants to stay alive in the playoffs.

17 Washington Redskins(17)- Needed this game badly to stay alive in the playoff
contention.

18 Miami Dolphins(19)- Suddenly rolling back into the race with the team finally trying hard.

19 St. Louis Rams(18)- The rookie is still learning how to adjust to the NFL.

20 Philadelphia Eagles(20)- Moats had a great game but not enough to beat the Giants, out of the playoffs for once!

21 Baltimore Ravens(26)- Defense does well again and almost beat the Broncos, Boller made a few odd plays.

22 Buffalo Bills(21)- Could not do much against the Patriots, out of the race, try
again next year.

23 Detroit Lions(22)- Blew the lead to the Packers, played well and showed signs of a good future.

24 Arizona Cardinals(23)- Turnovers cost the game, should have won this game if it
was not for the turnovers.

25 Oakland Raiders(24)- Who is that quarterback? Well he had a horrible game.

26 Cleveland Browns(25)- Kept a close game against the Bengals that was good enough to show the defense is fighting.

27 Tennessee Titans(27)- Barely beat out the Texans, future is not so bright.

28 New Orleans Saints(28)- With all the traveling, the team is tired and cannot win
many games without a home.

29 Green Bay Packers(29)- Farve finally gets a win, did you see him when Longwell made the game winning FG. Win the final 3 games for Farve.

30 New York Jets(30)- Won a game for once again, just wait till next year with Pennington back.

31 San Francisco 49ers(31)- No defense, and Smith is still having trouble in the NFL.

32 Houston Texans(32)- Brown misses a FG to tie game, well season is over and might as well lose the rest and get Reggie Bush.

I'll post a response Homeboy. Stock markets slow ( up 9) and I'm taking a break with a cup of java waiting to see what the Fed is going to do with rates. Where you located ? I work in the financial district and live in Hingham. Are you going over to Gillette this weekend ? I Came onto this site after meeting the OFi group at the Pats/ Broncos game. Speaking of Power rankings the power ranking on the orange mane is Meck at the top and Bob at the bottom.

so maybe they would listen to their own fans or something

I could care less...they had us ranked around 15-18 to start the season and were thrashing the Browncos and Jake...

That power ranking is retarded. The Chiefs playoff hopes are anything BUT dashed.

It will most likely come down to the KC-San Diego game. Whoever wins that game is in and the other team will probably be out.

This weekend will prove who from the 9-4/8-5 teams in the AFC has a realistic shot at the playoffs. Some fans are gonna have a very bad weekend, some, a very good one.
The sky is also blue.

not if the Chiefs and the Chargers both lose this weekend, which is highly possible

Depends on what Pittsburgh does. They could lose to Minnesota up north.

I'm in Hanover (I'm from here)- about 2.5 miles from Queen Anne's Corner and the Hingham line.

I work in Needham a few days a week - from home on the others. It sure beats commuting to Boston! For example, I just left for an hour or so to get a haircut. Now I don't have to do it on the weekend when everyone else is trying to.

That's great you got to meet Meck and the guys. Meck brought me to this board from the Rams board after SB36 and I've been here ever since. I've never met him, but probably will someday.

I'm not much of a traveler and surely can't afford Pats tickets.

I'm lucky that I only live a mile from the commuter boat. The high speed catamaran takes only 25 minutes to Rowes wharf which is only a 5 minute walk to my building. Hanover !, hell you're my neighbor. The Broncos are coming here next year you will get your chance to meet them . We'll definitely have to do a co-tailgate for that one. Meck and Disco are good dudes and were very hospitable. I was late getting to the OF1 (I'll blame my brother ) and Meck was pretty busy. Hope to meet up with those guys for a longer time the next time around.

Yeah, I bet it's just that totally selfish. We weren't afraid to go get our sack back in NE this year. I only hope we get to skulldrag them one more time this year even though I would love to kick the crap out of the Jags again. Totally selfish on my part.
