it was probably the denver broncos that year they lost to cincy and let dillon run for 278 yards.after that game we were 4-4 then run off 4 straight before losing but we still made playoffs only to lose to balti in balti 21-3.

The best 9-7 team ever was the 1979 LA Rams. They played Pittsburgh in the Super Bowl and they probably would have won if Jack Youngblood hadn't been playing a broken leg.

If Ferragamo didn't throw that INT to Lambert while driving. The game and history could of been much different

That thought has crossed my mind a few thousand times over the years.

The worst thing the Rams did in that game was some silly spur of the moment decision by their offensive line. At the end of the third quarter, the Rams were winning 19-17 and they had the momentum in the game. One of the linemen, I don't remember who, probably Doug France, suggested everybody run to the other end when they changed fields at the end of the quarter. This was going to show the Steelers that the Rams weren't tired, see? Well, if they weren't tired, that needless and ill advised sprint gassed them enough that the Rams offense was done for the game.

I wish I didn't even know this information and would pay good money to have those memory cells deleted from my brain.

I was gonna say Slap. Damn, quite the memory you got there. I dunno how old you are but I was 14 watching that game and I don't remember much of it. Too many years of partying afterward I guess.

Roughly the same age. I was ready to swing on a couple bandwagon Steeler fans the next day at school. I still regret not doing it, which is probably unhealthy.

I was 6 years old and my friend who lived on my block was about 8, so I thought he was my hero b/c he was the older kid who liked to hang out with me

He was huge rams fan and I still remember watching that superbowl with his family, they even bought me a rams jacket that year

thankfully that didn't stick and 2 years later I realized just how great Denver was

I'm not sure what Denver's record was, but their revenge tour was a thing of beauty from the WC spot...
