How do make these with photoshop? Can these be made from video clips? How about just from a series of pics? Any help would be appreciated. DrB

To make mpeg's you need VIDEO editing software, not image editing. At best you can get screen shots of each individual frame and then put them together in ImageReady to make an animated gif, but that seems like a difficult way of going about it. edit: I see you said jpegs, not mpegs. Photoshop comes with a companion called ImageReady and you can do it in there. However, if you dont know how you will have to wait because its a bit of a process to explain and Im at work and cant do it from here. |

You mean .gif's like my avatar? If so. Image ready would be what you are looking for. Use photoshop to optimize them and Image ready to animate them.
Personally, I work on gifs in photoshop first. Using the same canvas, I put all the elements in different layers and then hit the magic Image ready button and in the frames window I select: make frames from layers. Good stuff. |

Gif files are always a little bit overly large (file size) for what you actually end up with!!
![]() Wow, a photoshop FORUM!!!! I think I just found myself a NEW home! Now, just need to organise/file those 700 NFL/College photos and get to work on some new ideas!! ![]() |

I use Jasc Animation Shop 3 to convert the weekly Chiefs highlights I download to .gif form.
I usually crop, resize, crop a little more and then reduce # of colors before converting. |
