Default How Badly Would You Want Reggie Bush?

Since the Broncos are currently the only team with two #1 draft choices for 2006, would they be willing to part with both (and something extra like a current player or a 2007 pick) if it netted them Reggie Bush? Because the choices are expected be middle round (Washington's) and low first (Denver's), more would be needed to get the overall #1 than just those two picks.

Or do you think the Broncos' offense is fine without him and it would be better to add players elsewhere?

I would definately trade up for Bush. Give them the 2 first round picks and either a young backup O-lineman or a Cooper Carlisle and get Bush.
Will the Cap allow for us to land Bush is the question.

What would we do with our current RB's though. We wouldn't get much for any of them. I'd keep MA and try to deal Tatum for a 4th or 5th. It would be hard to get anything for Bell though when you consider guys like Edge, and Shaun Alexander showed no trade interest last season.

Its too much of a luxury at too high of a cost. Denver in particular has been able to run very well using backs who make chump change. Obviously Bush would take it to a whole other level, but we are already fine in this area without the need to spend alot of money and picks.

I think Bush would be awesome but, I'd pass. If we made a blockbuster trade like that I'd prefer a DE over a RB even a stud one. We can find RB's anytime we want so a move like this would not be made.

Yeah, a young backup or Cooper. Anymore crap you can throw in to go with the 2 1sts in order to get the 1st OA? I'm thinking a couple future 7ths might seal the deal.

Ordinarily I would agree with you, but not when you're talking about the best back since LT.

I would give up both first rounders and probably Tatum for Reggie Bush.

Hmmm..I don't think the market is too hot for some backup O-lineman and Cooper Carlisle.

I don't want him, but if some how Shanahan did draft him, I'd strangle Mike.

I would trade one 1st and 3rd pick this year. But I wouldn't pull Ditka. But I think after the combine he might fall a little due to his size. Wouldn't be surprise he was in 7-12 range of the first.

Umm... have you seen Houston's O-Line? I'd say Chris Myers and Cooper would be bonified starters in Houston!

Houston actually has an incredibly solid run-blocking unit. It's just that whole "pass protecting" thing that gets 'em every time.

After seeing what a class act the kid is, his stock with me has risen. He's very bright eyed, happy and was dressed impeccably, not the crap somone like Michael Irvin or Jordan flaunts...his demeanor really impressed me...maybe Q and a conditional 3rd? i don't think so...I know slappy is willing to throw the bank at him, but I like having picks...ideal would be to throw Pryce at SF and our Wash pick, but I doubt that gets it done...he really impressed me at the heisman ceremony...

Whatever It IS, Reggie has it....I can feel the magik touch around the kid...sometimes you just have a feeling, and I had a similar feeling about Brady...I'm not letting tater go tho...not with him leading the league, well...maybe...Bush is a Marshall Faulk in waiting...His only knock is he's a little undersized...but the kid could play any position on the team...

That's nowhere near enough for the #1 overall pick.

Also, don't want him that bad.

He's a damn good player, but lets not forget he's a RB.

Not enough to give up what it would take to get him... Which would be substantially more than our 2 first round picks.

Considering the fact that we can find quality running backs in any round of the draft, I would MUCH rather trade up for a franchise QB. I'd love to trade up for Leinart (or even Quinn) and have him sit behind Plummer for a year then throw him in.

Plummer has done an admorable job this year behind center, but I want a franchise QB who can really open our offense up. A guy the whole team, city, and fan base can rally around knowing no matter what else happens, we'll have a chance with _________ behind center.

to be brutaly honest there is NO WAY we get him so its pointless to even get our hopes up

I guess that would be determined by Tatum Bell's perceived value to any given trade partner. Houston has plenty of backs, so its unlikely to entice them, but San Francisco might be a different story.

Do you really want to be lumped in with people who write into Williamson's mailbag?

Any chance in the upcoming draft that the Broncos could package their two first-round picks (the Redskins' and their own) with Tatum Bell and get high enough in the 2006 NFL draft to grab Reggie Bush - assuming that he comes out early?

no, we dont give up part of our future for him. with 2 first rounders we can land a star safety like Huff and also depth at OL or a GOOD pass rushing DE

Damn, Denver will just have to live with their 2 1st round picks this year.

Bush is a stud but I agree with those who say the price is too steep for a position that isn't really a problem.

If Washington finishes out of the playoffs the worst we can do is pick 20. I think it will be more along the lines of pick 17 when it's all said and done. There will be a few teams in the 10-6 range that don't make the playoffs!

Denver's pretty much locked into the 30th pick too (short of going to the Super Bowl). If they lose and Chicago, Jax, and Cincy tie Denver with a 12-4 record, Denver will have the tougher SOS and pick last out of the group (at least before the playoff games are played). If Denver wins and Seattle and Indy lose, Denver will have a tougher SOS than those two, and actually be "projected" to pick 32nd before any playoff games are played.
