Morons always thinking we will pick a freaking TE.

GET OVER IT!!!!

We aren't going to be drafting a TE in the first three rounds after we just gave Putzier a fat contract.

I would normally agree that Broncs would not take a TE early, but they need another pass receiving option. If they don't believe in any of the WRs, they may need to be creative with a hybrid type TE in hope they can turn him into the next Shannon Sharpe. That being said, I don't think Klopfenstein fits that mold. I did hear on the radio the other day, but have not confirmed it, that Kiper has Klopfenstein as number 18 on his Big Board. I have seen him many time in his 4 years at CU. I think he will be a very solid NFL tight end, but he will make his money blocking and setting up in the short zones.

Wright, Rodrique - Texas IS A TOP 15 PICK WHY NOT PICK HIM AT 15?
College: Texas
Pos. Defensive Tackle
Height: 6'5
Wt.: 305 lbs.

BIO:
Wright is an explosive, athletic, player who possesses great quickenss. He is arguably the top D-Tackle in the nation. Is a tough competitor who played a long portion of last season hurt. Has stepped up to the plate against the best competition, by putting up nice numbers against teams in the top 25. Is a sure fire first rounder and should go in the top 15 picks.

As much as i'd like us to pick
Marcedes Lewis http://www.draftseason.com/index2.ph...Profile2&id=35 I dont think he will be there for us at 15-17 but maybe we get lucky- let's hope
so i don't think we take a TE that soon maybe 2nd round

Duke is the "draft pick". I'm not penciling him as the future, but if Shanny thinks enough of him to protect him by keeping him on the roster, they're going to give him a shot to make an impact next year. They're not going use a 1st round pick on a TE this year because of him.

I admire your optimism and just hope they feel they can get an impact receiver so that they don't feel compelled to draft a TE.

I'm not being optimistic, I'm trying to be realistic. Shanahan wouldn't have protected Duke like that unless they planned on giving him a full offseason with the team and a preseason. Drafting a TE in the 1st completely eliminates Duke from any future plans. Add in that Shanny has never drafted a TE on the first day, and I just don't see it happening.

As much as like Klop, I dont see him becoming a Bronco, not do I see the Broncos drafting a TE in the 1st when they need, WR, OL, DL and S help. In all hoonesty, I'd rather try to pick up Quinn Sypneiwski (The Other CU TE) as a UDFA, and see if he's a TE or OT prospect. He's even bigger than Klop, 6'7" 265 and he's lean. COuld be a much bigger version of Lepsis.

I like Syppy, too but I'm not sure if he will remain undrafted. He definitely can add some weight and he is pretty athletic for his size. Bring him in as "New House".

We should draft players from Big Guy's Fighting Irish.

I'd take Wright over Wroten any day... I would rather have a WR or a S at 29... Wright and Huff would be great in the first round but I had to put money on one position that we would take with at least one of our first round picks is WR... I'm not sure who that will be the WR class is pretty weak this year, it's going to be really interesting to see what Jr. WR's declare this year.

In general I really look for Shanny to really look at the BPA in this draft. We certainly have needs but nothing that hugely jumps out at you. You could make the case for G/C (Eslinger is a guy who might be a great pick at the end of round 1). At first look, I wouldn't mind trading down a little bit with our picks because we could look to fill multiple holes with more higher picks. Remember too, that alot is going to depend on what happens with free agency.

Well you know I love the college game and to be truthfull I always cheer for my two alma maters, no matter how bad they are, and there are three teams I really dislike because of bad experiences I have had on their campuses. That leaves about 115 or so Div 1 teams of which I tend to like about half with about half that I don't care one way or another. Unfortunately, the three on my bad list are among the most talked about on this board, including the "flaming eunichs". Maybe I will say something nice about them when you say something nice about Ian

I would love to have Rod Wright with 1A. We would have 2 beasts on the inside, with Trevor and Brown on the outside, the entire line would be a beast. Wright would really help take pressure off of Warren so they cant assign 2 or 3 guys to just maul the guy like they have this year. Right now, my Top 3 for 1A in no particular order are: LT Winston of Miami, DT Wright of Texas and LT Scott of Texas.

I know - just like I give you a ration some times.

Well, you know I got my grad degree at CU and I have almost always had good things to say about Miami, so pick the other two schools that are most frequently talked about here and you will have my Sh1t list in hand.

There's a better chance that Taco will spend 250 bucks on an authentic Plummer jersey than that happening.

You got one and two I don't care one way or another about except when they play CU.

If I win the $75 million powerball Saturday the first thing I am going to do is get you a ticket to Denver and reserve a private room over at Del Frisco's so I can get you and Ian together to work out your differences.
