Welcome to the tailgate forum! This is the forum that converts the "Online Tailgate Party that Never Ends!" to the "Tailgate Party in the lots before home and away games".
If you are planning on going to a game, have questions, need tickets etc, you'll find a (Tailgate Planning Thread) for each game this season. We had a great time last year and we look forward to an even better tailgating season in 2005! You'll find some useful information on this thread to help you with your travels to Denver. If you missed the tailgates last year you can see all the pictures here!http://www.orangeforceone.com/photos/index.htm Meck 77 Last edited by Meck77; 08-04-2005 at 06:43 PM.. |

hey damsel!!
do you have any info about the handicap parking? once or twice last year i gave it a try, but even at 11 or noon the lots were TOTALLY inaccessible and/or full. i just gave up and parked at pepsi center. if it isnt ridiculously expensive or a royal pain to get to, i wouldnt mind trying to use it this year. ill check the link, but i thought maybe firsthand knowledge would be better sincerely, jake (your fellow GBFG charter member!!) |

pish...I never parked in handicap spots...
Ask missy from maniax - I'd park about 4-5 blocks away from the stadium (free parking) off of Federal & have people push me... I would contact the stadium & ask them about disabled parking...They'd have the best insight to it - you might even be able to get a permit for the year? |

it just seemed like SUCH a hassle. i always parked at pepsi center and walked or crutched over slowly. i was just curious to see if you had ever used it. i suppose the negative side is getting out would be miserable. ill probably just tough it out and park where we always have for most of the games, but for the first one we'll be there SO early i thought that one might make sense, but it seems the only handicap spots are on the north side anyway. no biggie, we'll just park and walk to the tailgate. thats probably better anyway since we'll have two cars so my wife and son can leave before the game starts. at least theyll be there to meet all you guys and gals. thats whats important to her anyway. jake |

free parking is city park on 18th and Irving (that is about 3 blocks west and 3 or 4 blocks but lot C in front stadium) , by the way. I dont think it is much a walk but I grew up in hick ville where had to huff it 2 3 miles just to get to rec center and such.
Next question he blue D what happened to left over jello shots. they would go good with NFL chanel that I cant seem to drag my lazy butt away from. that is addicting right there. next we need more people to come out and tailgate with us. I am inviteing people without clearing it with Meck (sorry Meck) but he throughs kick a** tailgate with more food then twice the people could eat and it is a lot of fun. The stands are sounding more and more like old Mile high, and I can only hope if get more and more true fans. (those without martinie glasses and heated LUXURY boxes) out there it will help even more. I was out there when we set the Guiness world record of loudest stadium. Right in middle of south stands and it was great I miss it. WE NEED MORE HOOMER FANS AROUND HERE!!!!!! |

Game Day
Parking: The neighborhoods around the stadium have strict “no parking” policies enforced, so you’ll need a place to park. The lots closest to the stadium are usually reserved for season ticket holders, though there are a limited number of first-come, first-served non-reserved cash spots. OrangeForceOne parks in the RV side of lot C (The “Tailgating Lot”) to the South of the stadium. There is also parking East of I-25 and the Platte River at Ocean Journey, Auraria Campus, Pepsi Center & Six Flags. Transportation: RTD offers several inexpensive alternatives to get to the game. The Broncos Ride costs $8 round trip, and has more than 27 park-n-ride pick up locations. There is also the Light Rail C-Line, which stops at the stadium. More details about each of these systems can be found at http://www.rtd-denver.com Tailgating: Tailgating at the stadium is what we’re trying to bring back, as a way to pump the spirit up before heading into the stadium. There are many activities to check out. The lots open around 8 am for afternoon games & noon for evening games. Keep in mind – if you want to drink, there is no liquor sold on Sundays in the state of Colorado (without special license, such as at bars & sporting events) so buy your beer & such on Saturday! • OrangeForceOne – located in Lot C, RV spot #31, just south of the stadium. From there you can check out the previous week’s winners of the MVT (Most Valuable Tailgater) award, the Barrelman & Hatman Jay’s tailgate, and many other groups. • The Bronco Barn – for $5, you can go into the “tent” set up to the east of the Player’s lot. They have big screen tvs to watch the early games, visits/autographs from cheerleaders & Broncos Alumnae, Miles the mascot, and radio personalities. There is usually a band playing as well. • There are usually various vendors set up along the “Walk of Fame” around the south/west sides of the stadium, with contests, giveaways and activities for families. • You can tailgate too – whether it’s you and your family or a group of your friends, there are many places to park your car or truck & pull out your grill. There are dumping places available for hot coals when you’re getting ready to go to the game, and port-a-potties throughout the lots. Price for parking ranges, starting at $30 a spot. Autographs: Alumnae and cheerleaders are available for autographs in the Broncos Barn before the game. To get autographs of current players, the best bet is to stand at the tunnel that leads to the players lot before and after the game. All the players pass through there and many will stop to sign things or pose for pictures with you. It is located to the South side of the stadium, just west of the Broncos Stadium Store. |

Memorabilia Shopping
One of the first questions we get asked is “Where can I buy….?” and “What memorabilia stores are trustworthy?” The last thing that a fan wants is to purchase an autographed mini helmet, to find out that the autograph is not certified and therefore becomes a “worthless” investment. Following is a list of vendors in the area (and online) that we have come to know and trust for their quality, service and prices! Bills Sports Collectibles Bill's Sports Collectibles has been serving the Rocky Mountain region since 1981. Started as a home-based business, we have grown to be the Rocky Mountain Region's largest sports card and memorabilia store. We have over 1 million baseball, football, basketball, and hockey cards. With over 5,000 square feet of store space, you can take a trip down memory lane and not come back for hours! 2335 S. We also have collectables and autographs from sports legends and Hall of Famers. With three retails stores and our web page we can accommodate all customers. Most of our autographs are obtained through our public and private autograph signings, however, we also carry Mounted Memories, Steiner Sports and Tri-Star autographed items. All our autographs are in-person only, which means you'll never have to settle for second hand items and all items include a certificate of authenticity. 6901 W.
